Does anybody have any suggestions on a way to print a boarding pass for Southwest for the return flight? Me, DH, and DS must sit together! LOL! Where the heck can we find a printer on the WDW grounds? :confused3

The front desk of your resort will print it for you. Just bring your confirmation number and they will take care of the rest.

We did this also and had no problem. They even took us into this little private office/conference room and let us do it ourselves. So great! This was at Pop btw.

That is so good to know. I probably wouldn't have asked, but now will. DD isn't young enough for pre-boarding, but not old enough to sit separately from me. Thanks!!!! for the info. :cool1:

Last year, we didn't even need to print it out. We used our laptop just after midnight to check-in. When we arrived at SW to check our bags, I told them we didn't have access to a printer and they gave them to us at check-in. I learned this last year from these boards and it worked great :flower:

Has anyone ever printed out their SWA passes from the DCL ship? I thought I read about someone here doing that. When I checked the hours for online access on the ship, it said the internet cafe closes at 11 pm on Friday nights. That doesn't work out since they can't be printed until after midnight. Thanks for any info, Tink

Edited to add that I believe the internet service is open 24 hours until 8 am Saturday, the day returning to Port. So I guess it would work out printing passes from the ship.

Great question about handling this on the cruise.

Anyone? Would love to know how this could be done on the ship. Maybe at guest services desk???

Thank you, maminnie

It is still a good idea to get a boarding pass. If there are a lot of children on the flight, they have been known to suspend the preboarding for children under 5 and only allow preboards for special needs.

Oh no learning more about SW not having seat assignments will I be able to sit with my children, 5, 3 and 8 months??? I really hope they have preboarding so that we won't encounter a problem although I'm sure a Flight attendant will help us out.

You've gotten good advice, but there's always the possibility that the flight originated elsewhere and there will already be people on it when you board. THe Flight Attendants and other passengers will I'm sure switch seats so one of you will be next to your son, but if there are a lot of other people in front of you in line, most of them will also be families, and breaking them up so the three of you can sit together might not happen. I'd be prepared for that (remote) possibility.

No assigned seats is the reason I'll never fly SW again. Wasting my time waiting in line so we could get decent seats towards th front of the plane was ridiculous. Time is omney, and I'd rather spend a few extra dollars to take another carrier than waste time. US AIrways has been really, really competitive out of Philly, and that's who I've been flying. They also have been extremely generous with first clas supgrades the past few months. THat in itself makes flying them worth it for me, even if it's an extra $15-20 for the r/t ticket.

Now that we are back from the Disney Cruise, I am replying to my own post here concerning SWA. Right before midnight on the last night of our cruise, I went to the Disney Magic Promenade Lounge online cafe in the hopes of printing out our "A" boarding passes. There was a sign saying that due to the change in satellite, there will be no internet access available. When we checked back the following morning, still hoping to print out our boarding passes or at least check in to SWA, the sign was still up so we were unable to print our boarding passes and did not get the "A" seat assignments. I thought it was odd that the ship would have satellite problems when we were parked in Port Canaveral, but that's what happened. So, unless you have a laptop, you can't always count on being able to check in to SWA from the Disney ships. Hope that helps.

Edited to add that although I am very pleased with SWA service and the ability to make changes to your flights without being penalized, I am not thrilled with the "every man for himself" and "pitting passengers against each other" atmosphere present while waiting in the A,B, and C SWA lines at the airport. I will continue to put up with it and fly SWA though, because other than that, I am happy with them.

If I read it right, SW just introduced a service where you can check in via computer and if you don't have a printer, you can get the print out at the SW kiosk when you arrive at the airport.......haven't tried it, but it sounds like a good idea. And would eliminate some problems... :cool1:
