Princesses - no lines - and unexpected Princess encounters

I'm not sure of the exact time but it was probably mid afternoon (maybe around 3:00), Belle and Aurora were both in the French courtyard nearest the water (way in back) at Epcot. There were no lines at all and only a few people wandered up to that area. I only saw 4 children come up during the time we were there. If you can catch them at this spot, it's a great way for your child to have a little extra time with them. The characters may change but it's still a good opportunity for one-on-one time.

Also, around 8:00 one night at Epcot we had gotten a snack & were looking for an uncrowded spot to sit & rest for a bit. Between Akershus in Norway & Nine Dragons (I think that's the name), there is a little road that goes between them. Nobody was there so we sat on the curb near the back of Akershus. We hadn't been there long until Belle came out the back door. She spoke to us and went out through a gate back there. In a few minutes, Cinderella came out. She stopped and wanted to know what we were eating, where it came from, and if it was good. She talked with us for a few more minutes then told us to tell everyone we had a snack with Cinderella! After a few more minutes Ariel came out and said hello...then on out that gate. We decided one of the Princess meals must be going on in Akershus and they were leaving out the back door when they were finished there. Just happening to be there at the right time was a pixie dust moment for us & certainly made that snack time a memorable one!

One can only dream of an opportunity like that! My 6yr DD would just love to have that happen for her...during our July visit! Maybe..... ...afterall, they do call it the Most Magical Place!

We must have been in France the same day! I think I saw the same thing maybe 2 weeks ago? Belle was siging autographs on the fountain and I walked to the right of her and right of the stores and there was Aurora by herself (with a photographer) just sitting there! It was the only character picture I had taken where I didn't have to wait in line. Nice surprise!

Thanks for the tips. We've been lucky enough to have some wonderful chance encounters with Princesses ourselves. Its such fun! Our last trip to DL we were in CA Advernture sitting in a big room just resting in the ac and watching the Disney clips playing on the big screens (sorry I forget the proper name but its the room leading to different learning stations about the Disney animation process) and Snow White and Belle came and sat on the ground right next to dd and began telling her a story about a little girl with her name who grew up to become Princess. By the time they were done there was about 25 girls sitting around but dd was still right in between the two of them, feeling soo special. The next day we were at Disneyland walking through Adventureland and Aladdin and Jasmine ran up and hid behind us. They were playing hide and seek from the Genie and we (dh, myself, dd, and ds) got to join in. It was like a Disney commercial!

DD had Aurora all to herself in France near the fountain, too! We were strolling around, and there she was, all by herself. DD was so excited- Aurora is her favorite (next to Stitch )! They sat together and had a nice talk about what DD had done that day, etc. DD asked Aurora why she followed the green light to the tower- she should know not to go up there! Aurora apologized, and told her she'd be more careful from now on. It was such a cute moment- DD must have chatted with her for 10 minutes!

Thanks for the info! My dd5 would just love to have something like that happen to her! We are having lunch in Norway w/the princesses, so maybe we'll have to take a short rest outside the restuarant and/or go for a walk to the French side!

Last year we were headed back ti the room at BC,heading out the "back" of Epcot and to our suprise there stood Snow White and Aurora!!! My DS was 5.
He was totally shy but he took his picture with his "dates!". That same trip he was a bellhop at TOT, Had a picture taken, and was given a certificate of
a mgical moment!!! We put everything in a shadow box for him to keep!!!
