Hello,
I wanted to know if anyone of have purchased a dress from eith er dress up trunk or Little dress up shop for their DD's? Are they less itchy than the ones from Disney store? Also how do the sizes run because DD seems like she is between sizes and we might have to have it altered. Also did you like these dresses better? Thanks. :goodvibes

We have a variety of the dresses from my dress up trunk. We love them! They are so soft and machine washable - not itchy in the least! Ours have also lasted a lot longer then the one belle ballet one we bought at the Disney store - it was super itchy and the tulle got snagged and ripped. My daughter is now wearing size 6 and the L is fitting her well..before they were a bit long, but not too bad.

The nice thing I love about them is that I could roll 5 dresses up in one large zip lock bag to take to the park with us.

I would totally say they are wonderful dresses! My daughter and her friends love dressing up in the them.

They sound really nice. DD liked how they looked too. My DD is also 6 and usually wears 5 or 6 slim in clothes. She is little weighs around 39 lbs. and is 43 inches tall. Do you think L is the best size for her too. I don't know how tall your DD is. She doesn't like when the costumes are on the short side. :rolleyes1 Likes them just above the feet no shorter. Thanks alot!

Mine is little too.. she is 41 pounds, will measure her tomorrow for you.

What is the dress up shop/trunk? My DD8 is hoping that mommy can find her a Jasmine costume and I am not having any luck. :guilty: Does this palce have a website? Thanks.

Probably large would fit if she is almost as tall as your DD. The one I was looking at is LittleDressupshop.com. The other one is Mydressupshop .com I didn't see a Jasmine on the website, only Belle, Aerial, Aurora, Cinderella and Snow white. Thanks for you replies. They look nicer than the Disney Costumes to me.

someone here recomended these to me, and we LOVE them -- dd has Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, and a purple one. Not itchy at all, and they wash like a dream.
:thumbsup2

Here are two of the ones we bought for my daughter.... they do wash really nicely, are very soft and comfy...

We bought our off ebay. I like them much better since they don't have all that itchy crinlon! My youngest won't wear those itchy ones for very long. The prices were the same as those I could have bought at Target too.

We of course had to get some for our "babies" too. I had my girls try them on then put them up until Disney :cool1:

I had never been to those places, they really seem pretty nice. btw while there is no Princess Jasmine I could find, there was an Arabian Princess costume on Mydressupshop .com princess:

I am so excited that I found this thread, :cool1: my DD is 3 we wil be going Nov 1-9.
For my birthday we will have dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I have been looking everywhere for a dress for my DD. Please tell me more about these dresses. Are they the quality you would find at target(seem to be more play dress up).The dresses at the Disney Store can run quite pricey. I would be able to get her two dresses for less than the price of 1. Has anyone bought the slip to go under for the fullness? PLEASE TELL ME MORE!!!!!!

IMO they're very different from the Target or Walmart ones -- better quality in that they are real fabric you can actually wash, w/o all kinds of itchiness. they are not as fancy as many of the ones I see at places like Target though -- no glittery accents, etc.

my dd is 38 inches tall, and we have the mediums. they are long on her, which she loves (apparently, real princesses wear long dresses!)

I agree with laughingmama, I think the quality of the material is better. My girls won't wear even the disney ones for very long due to the crinolin being so itcy. These don't have any crinolin or velcro on them. I think the Disney Store ones look fancier, but these are really cute without the itch factor (or the cost!)

I haven't tried the slip for fullness, but I bet it would be cute! Since we are going in Aug/Sept time frame, I didn't think it would work out for us :)

They have cute stuff onthat website too! I actually like the 2 piece Jasmine better than the dresses. DD want to look like Jasmine with her belly showing.
