Is there anyway of knowing ahead of time which princesses will be there for the day? The last time we were there, we were lucky enough to have what DD considers to be the 5 main princesses. (Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Snow White and Ariel). She was a huge Cinderella fan until she met her at Akershus (very standoffish and not at all friendly!) Anyways after meeting Ariel (who was absolutely wonderful!) she loves Ariel the best. (I am assuming she will pick the Ariel costume at BBB the day we go.) Long story short (too late!:rotfl:) is there anyway to know if Ariel will be there on the day we go? I would seriously switch days to make sure she is there.

they (WDW DINE) never give you a straight answer...cuz I was told Mulan was going to be there..and the day I went 4th of July...Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White and MARY POPPPPPINS??? I didn't realize she was a PRINCESS...and they (CM) told me that Ariel was only at Magic Kingdom!! but it was still wonderful breakfast..>Snow White was the best...aurora looked tired..maybe she needed to stay sleeping that day...lol..Cinderella was perfect..although Mary Poppins was very good! Belle was the one taking photos and she looked awesome!

When we went, Belle was doing the photos too! I wonder if she always does them?!?!? I don't consider Mary Poppins to be a princess either, but she is the only character I care about seeing at WDW. It's too bad the princesses can't all be perfect everyday! (Like me of course! :lmao:) So I guess I just won't ask so I don't get my hopes up and be disappointed. Thanks for the info. :)

They offer NO guarantees. It can be any combo of Belle as greeter, or ARiel as greeter. With Mulan,Snow white ,Aurora,Jasmine ,Mary Poppins and rarely Cinderella. No way to know , and I wouldn't get your childs hopes up.

or ARiel as greeter.

I wouldn't get your childs hopes up.
I hope Ariel isn't the greeter! I would hate to have to spend abunch of money on pics!
We aren't even telling them we are going until the night before we leave! :ssst: I think she will be so excited she won't even be thinking about that till we get to the restaurant! At least that is what I am hoping for!

Like the others said, they won't guarantee who will be there but for breakfast in December we had: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan and Jasmine; for lunch in May we had: Ariel, Cinderella, Mulan and Sleeping Beauty. Both times the photo op was with Belle in her yellow dress.

we have been twice

1st year we had Ariel (greeting photo), Aurora, Cinderella, Belle and Jasmine

Last year we had Belle (greeting photo), Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, and Alice (BTW-when did she become a princess?)

Either way you get a good bang for your buck

The photo pkg is included at Akershus

ah man now I have to do again to see if I can get Ariel and Mulan...and I have yet to meet Alice!!

but it was funny because all the other character dining..you have to pay for the pictures..so when I was in line to see belle...the CM asked for my ticket and I said no I don't want a picture..she said really, its complimentary...I was like WHAT! I'm glad you said something bevcause the other restaurants took pictures of us and printed them and wanted $30!!!

I am almost positive that it used to be the $30 ish charge. That is nice that it is included now.

A good place at Epcot to meet Alice is in United Kingdom. And of course she has always been at the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare when we have gone.

As far as the pictures, I really wish they would all include. I mean those buffet prices are high enough that they could include the picture. And they don't even have to give me a photo package, just let me put it on my photopass card, since I always buy the CD anyway.

In Dec 08 at Akershus' dinner we had pics with Belle, then the following circulated to the table: Belle, Mulan, Mary Poppins, Jasmine and Cinderella. My 6yo DS told Mulan she was his favorite character (don't know where it came from, he didn't care about her before we entered the restaurant but was enamored when he saw her). Mulan took his hand, led him to an open space between tables and had him do some 'posing' and 'fighting' moves with her. It was sooooo cute!

In June for dinner we had Belle as the greeter. Inside we saw Cinderella, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.

I think the photo isn't really complementary. This was by far the most expensive meal we had. ($40 for adult entree and $21 for my DD's small pizza). The photo price is just rolled into the cost of the meal. If you're on the dining plan, it doesn't matter, but for those of us who weren't, it was an expensive meal. Worth it, but expensive.

So glad to hear that! I was debating back and forth last time we were there and DH sent me a look across the table that said if you purchase those pictures, it will also cost you 1 husband. I decided then that the pics we took with our camera were good enough! ;)
