princess: What little girl wouldn't love a princess wreath. If your a crafty mom, go and pick up Feb. issue of Parents magazine. What a cute wreath. I bet you everything could be found in a dollar or discount store. You only need a foam wreath, a couple of boas, and princess theme things to hot glue it all together.Hope you have fun. I know what my neice is getting for her birthday.

I saw this in the Parents magazine the other day, and immediately thought somebody here would love that idea. I've seen the little feather boas at Wal Mart for 88 cents each. I've covered the edges of a mirror in a hot pink feather boa for my daughter and it really looks cute in her room. I think I may have to try to put together this wreath too!

Anyone have a photo of this they can post? This issue of the magazine was misplaced at my library. I would like to consider this project for DD8 upcoming birthday/tea party.

Thank you!

Sorry, I don't have any way to post the photo, but I'm sure somebody here can.

You could really do a lot with the wreath "princess-wise". Someone on the budget board mentioned finding the princess slippers for $1 at the Dollar Tree. Those would be so cute on the wreath! The one in the picture has white gloves, a tiara, heart bracelets, "jewels", and a little wand. The wreath has a styrofoam base, and is wrapped in white ribbon then covered with a feather boa, then the accessories are hot glued on.

Sorry, that's the best I can do. Does that help at all?

Thank you, I am starting to visualize it -- is the white ribbon the French wired kind?

Well, it doesn't really say. You will need 5 yds. of 3"-wide white ribbon, and a 14" wreath for the base.

I wish I could post a picture of the wreath. The picture itself is just so cute! In the picture it shows a very pale pink feather boa, but I'm sure any color theme would do.

The feather boa is a marabou boa, the smaller type. That's what gives it that "dainty" look. They probably have those at the Dollar Tree or at Wal Mart or Big Lots.
