My DD will be celebrating her 4th birthday while we are there, and her father thinks that she "needs" to do BBB.:lmao: We had breakfast in the castle last time we were down, and while it was fun I am not so sure that it was worth the $$$. I was thinking about doing the Storybook dinner so that it would give her a chance to see the Princesses and hopefully correlate it with BBB so that she would be dressed accordingly. Does anyone know what princesses you normally see? Would it be the same kind of "feel" as eating in the castle? Is it worth it? Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!

We actually prefer the Storybook Dining at Epcot over MK. Typically you meet Belle (yellow gown) for your photo op when you enter (the photo package is included in your meal price). When we go we usually meet Aurora, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and either Jasmine or Snow White (Snow white was there the past 2 times.) The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and looks like a castle. We prefer the food there as well & the price can't be beat.

If you're wanting a princess meal after BBB then dining in Norway at Akershus (Storybook dinner) is nowhere near as convenient as CRT. BBB is either in MK or DTD so you'd have to travel to another location for your meal. If you're ok with that, Akershus is a wonderful experience. We LOVE it. It's a meal that we consistently go back to because we love the princesses and the food. There is food for non-adventurous eaters as well though I was quite shocked that during our most recent trip, DD9 who is one of the least adventurous eaters I know discovered a love of beets from the appetizer buffet (there are lots of breads, deli meats & cheese in addition to more unusual foods and there are some simple foods on the menu and chefs will leave off sauces if you're really concerned and ask). We've been twice and have it booked again for our upcoming August trip (we're not doing any TS in June otherwise it would likely be booked then as well).

FYI: As you approach Christmas, Belle wears her wine coloured Christmas dress. I thought that was such a great touch.

Princesses can vary. Belle I think is always there as she's the one with whom you get your picture (it's free with your meal). We've met Aurora twice, Ariel twice (in a dress), Cinderella twice, Jasmine once and Snow White once.

Another option if you don't want CRT is to go 1900 Park Fare for a Cinderella dinner. You only get the one princess but you also get Prince Charming, her step sisters and step mother. It's a LOT of fun and it's near MK if you do BBB at MK.

We have done Norway(b'fast and lunch), CRT(lunch), and 1900 Park Fare(dinner) with DD6. Our favorite by far was 1900 park fare. You get Cindy, Charming, the stepmother and stepsisters. The steps were really, really funny, and the prince/princess interaction was great. We also prefered the food over Norway for any meal other than breakfast. What they have in Norwat for lunch and dinner is not on my favorites list. Ther breakfast we really good, however. You get to see more of the princesses at Norway, but you can also do that by just walking around world showcase. We saw, belle and the beast, aurora, jasmine, and snow white within a couple of hours by traveling around world showcase and watching for them to be out. I think DD enjoyed doing it this way even more than a meal. We didn't feel nearly as rushed.

We enjoyed 1900 Park Faire too....we all prefered it over the Akershus breakfast...but that had more to do with the food than the Princesses.:confused3

The girls had a nlast w/ Anastasia and Drizella, and i got Lady Tremaine to coach me on how to get the girls to do their chores....the girls were horrified!:rotfl:

1900 Park Fair was our favorite too. Get into the main room though, we were in an offshoot and missed alot.

The princesses for Norway seemed to go quickly, one photo and off. Although DD (5th bday) had a wonderful time and got a birthday card signed by all the princesses.

She also had a great time at 1900 and got a cake.

We got to see all the princesses there from what I can recall, took the photo with Belle when we came in. We did lunch there, food was mediocre, I probably wouldn't go back, although CRT had mediocre food too for the price :) It's worth it just for the kids experience though, my 4 year old LOVED IT. She just ate a hot dog anyway, so it's not like she cared about the quality of food :rotfl2:

We all loved the Princess Dinner at Akershus! They spent a lot of time at our table and the food was good. I have heard from many people that it is better than the castle. We have a reservation there for my DD's 6th Birthday and we can't wait!

We really enjoy the Norway breakfast. There's a nice variety of princesses. (We used to see Mulan there, too, but not recently.) I also like my fresh lox. :thumbsup2

For dinner, 1900 Park Fair is one of my favorites in the world. The buffet is delicious! And, being at the GF, you have one of the premier bakeries on site to custom order a cake. The interactions are great, and those stepsisters are freaking hilarious.

We did CRT for breakfast a few years ago, and I really wasn't all that impressed. For a 2TS meal (or more expensive and requiring a CC guarantee), you didn't get anything more than the other character meals, other than getting to say you ate in the castle, a magic wand and wishing star, and the portrait (which is included at Akershus as well).
