Hi all -

I've never been in the World for a special party - how does it work?

We will be there in Jan for the 1st Princess/Pirate Party on 1/22 at 7:30pm. :cheer2:
Yet I see Wishes is at 6:30pm. Do they push everyone out of the park and let them back in with the special party tickets????? What if you are eating at Crystal Palace? Do they push you out of the dining room so that you get outside of the gates by 7pm????

I'm just trying to plan my day there and am having a hard time deciding where to have dinner??? We love the Crystal Palace but dont want to be rushed if everyone has to leave at a certain time. We already purchased the tickets - do you think they will just check for them in the dining room?????

Sorry to sound so dumb - just trying to get a little perspective on how the day will unfold.

Thanks for all the insight!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

If it is anything like the other parties then the people that have tickets for the party will be able to stay inside the park. Only the people who do not have tickets will be kicked out. I will be at the first party 2 with my g/f and sister!!
:)

Thanks for the info!!!!

Anyone else with any insight?????????????????????????

DD and I will be there that night as well. We are meeting another DIS family that is from near my hometown in PA! They have six kids - so I think it will be a fun time!!

Being in the park for dinner will be a good thing! We are eating at Tony's!

Special event tickets will normally (this is how it is with the Halloween & Christmas parties) allow you entry into the park with that ticket around 4pm - no need to use regular park admission. If you want to spend all day there you will need to use your normal admission.

If you are already in the park, you would go to a designated location(s) inside the park to get your wristband which identifies those with party tickets. If you enter after 4pm you will get that wrist band at the front gate!

You will not be rushed out of the restaurant. I have LTT planned for dinner prior to the 10/12 MNSSHP we are attending & CP planned for dinner the night before the MVMCP!

I will be curious to see how this party shakes out!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the great information!!!!!!!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for - you seem to be the expert when it comes to magical parties!!!!!!!

I will be there with my 2DD (one of which is going to be a pirate for halloween). We have NEVER done a party before so I cant wait to surprise the girls with this one - in fact the entire trip will be a surprise for them.

Where in PA are you from?????? :confused3 I was born in PHL and now live about 40 miles west in between Harrisburg and PHL. Would love to meet you and say hi that night - my fellow DISer from PA!!!! :thumbsup2

I would be absolutely bankrupt if I lives outside of Orlando - its bad enough we have Annual Passes to Hershey Park - that is as close to WDW as my husband can get!!!!

Thanks again for shaing your wealth of knowledge - I knew I could count on DIS.

You are very welcome. I grew up and lived most of my life in Lansdale/Hatfield area. Worked in KofP/Wayne area for several years - it was my home away fro home! So sounds like we might have been "neighbors" if you are 40 miles west! The DIS family that I will be meeting for dinner & the party are from Quakertown. I hope to meet the mom when she comes down for a girls weekend in October!
