Hi folks - My wife and I are having a debate :)

She wants to make Cinderella outfits for our girls (6 and 2) to wear to WDW character meals when we go in Nov/Dec. Our girls are brunettes. I said it will look better if they go as Snow White, since the hair will match more.

The girls don't care which one. They just want to go wearing pretty princess dresses. So, this is a "debate" between my wife and I :)

Yes, I know - this is a silly discussion. But my wife and I have been IM'ing back and forth all day and we want to resolve this!

So, who's right?

Our marriage is on the line here! :) j/k of course :)

Sorry, I accidentally posted twice. The link dropped on me and I thought I didn't post.

One dd is blonde and other is a brunette. I let them pick whichever costumes they want. It would look better if blonde dd was Cinderella and brunette dd was Snow White but they choose whichever ones they feel like wearing that day. I wouldn't stress about it. Maybe she can both - CInderella for CRT and SNow White for PSB.

My DD5 (who has short brown hair) is going to be cinderella one day, Jasmine one day. and sleeping beauty one day! So, none of those would 'fit' her, but whatever makes her happy! She looks adorable in all of them anyway! :earsgirl:

DD4 is blonde and she recently went to a Princess Tea Party at a friend's home as "Belle".
I wouldn't worry about haircolor.

Just think, if physical features determined which Princess our daughters emulated, that would completely leave out little girls who were not Arabic (Jasmine), Native American (Pocahantas), Mermaid (just kidding!) or Caucasian (all other Disney Princesses).

I say, let the girls pick. Even if they do not seem to have a preference, by having them pick it would end the debate between you and DW.

I agree with most of the other posters. Choose a couple of princesses and make them double as Halloween costumes too. DD was snow white and she is a red head, she looked darn cute too.

My DD is in love with all things Snow White and she has very light brown hair. While she'd be cuter as Cinderella, she'll be dressed as Snow White. At her age she doesn't need the outfit to insist that she IS Snow White and wants me to address her as such! princess: Are you REALLY sure they don't care??

I am impressed with your wife's sewing skills. Wish I could make one. Ask her which would be easier for her to make and feel that the dress is really special. I'd think that Cinderella would be easier, but what do I know! :confused3

My MIL always told me to NEVER put my DD in pink because "red heads don't look good in pink" WHATEVER! She loves Aurora Rose because pink is her favorite color! As you can see in my signature pic, she looks great!

My DDS 2 and 5 both are blonde. We will be taking their Cinderella dresses for 1900 Park Fare, Snow White Dresses for Princess Storybook dinner and Tink dresses for dinner at the castle.( They love Tink, so why not.) I think all little girls should be able to be princesses. Who cares about hair color. If it doesn't matter to them, then don't worry. They'll be adorable in either dress.

I say let them wear whatever costumes they choose and don't worry about hair color. They *will* look absolutely adorable no matter what they choose and what color their hais is! Enjoy!!

Great - thanks guys. My wife will be gloating over her victory once she reads this thread. Thanks for the comments :)

And you're giving her ideas too. She now sees that people take MULTIPLE costumes for their girls to wear. And I am here sweating over just one!

Well, at least she has Belle's costume.
