Princess Half Marathon

I'm thinking about running in the Princess Half Marathon this coming February It would be my first half marathon, so I'm wondering if any other first-time half marathon-ers ran the Princess Half and if it is worth the trip to WDW. Also, for those who have ran, how quickly does registration fill up? Will I need to do it at midnight the day it opens or can I do it within a couple days of registration opening?

It does tend to fill up quick. I believe registration opens at noon (eastern time) and you'll want to be at the computer right at noon. I want to say the Wine and Dine half marathon filled in about 40 minutes. I ran the princess, it was fun! It would be a great first half. Hope you get in!

It seems all race events fill quickly to some degree.

So you will want to be on ASAP to sign up.

With Disney marathon, active.com was bogged down. So during sign up, if you stay part of the thread discussion in the link above, that helps

Agree with all of the above. You'll want to make this decision soon as the race WILL sell out. My very first half marathon was the 2014 Princess and it was a great experience. I highly recommend going to the forums here on the DIS, which was a great way to connect with other runners. Good luck!
