Princess Fantasy Faire Coronation

I was planning on lining up right when we get there to meet the princesses when PFF opens at 9:00. Will they be there for the meet and greet or will we have to wait even longer to do the coronation thing before the meet and greet? We don't really care about the coronation thing-just wanted to meet them for my 2 year old "princess".

If the schedule remains the same, the royal walk (meet and greet) opens at 9am and the first coronation is at 10. So if you can make it through that walk before 10 you can do both. I'm a little confused about what you are asking.

Here is what I observed/heard. I've heard the line does fill up quickly before 9am opening because its popular and the usually start with the big 3 (Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White) in the royal walk. We showed up at 10 minutes before show time and where able to get front row. It was fairly empty, but again that was 6/12 and not a terribly busy day.

The princesses came out probably about 5 minutes after the show ended but people clear out quickly. After meeting Aurora we left. I noticed the royal walk line was short. Perhaps people see the show and get their princess "fill."

How long they stay or how early they get there might depend on what they want to do? Meet each princess, just see the show?
OK, maybe we are using the same word to mean the same thing or two different things? I have read nothing about a "show". Only about a "coronation", a "royal walk" and "storytelling". Is the "show" you are referring to one of these three things or something different? :)

Ah, sorry about that. I was in a hurry typing my reply. The "show" is the coronation ceremony. What your son could do is arrive for the coronation ceremony at 10am (earlier for a good seat), stay after to meet a princess or two (those that appear after their coronation performance), then stay for storytelling if they want to see more. I think the royal walk is hard to predict in terms of the line. I'm not sure how busy the end of July is, but PFF always seems to pull the crowds in. Perhaps the coronation ceremony will keep the line shorter as people will decide seeing the coronation is good enough and skip the royal walk.

EDIT: Honestly, if his GF is into the princesses, he'll probably be a hero no matter how long they wait there.

What I meant is that we don't neccesarily need to stay for the coronation. I just wanted to make sure that if I get in line at park opening, that it would be for the meet and greet and not the coronation. Thanks for your answer!

I am sooo excited to tell my dd that they finally brought the coronation ceremony back! This was always her first stop when we walked into the parks each day! :)

Thanks for the post!

People do generally line up for princesses well before the 9 AM start time, when they can. I think we had a nice short line on Friday in part because the PFF opened at 9 AM, the same as the park, so no one was able to line up for PFF before it opened. Some of the "regulars" may have been figuring to show up at 9:30 to get in line for the PFF opening an hour later than the park, but PFF was already open. And of course many families with little kids have trouble getting them to the park right at opening. And people were going for WoC FPs (though not as many as I'd thought!) and the parks weren't actually that busy that day.

But in our particular case if princesses had been the top priority, then we would have wanted to straight from the gates to PFF, and given that we were all adults, there's a good chance we would have been close to first in line.

IF Snow White, Aurora, and Cinderella are indeed the first three who appear at 9 AM (I don't know if that was the case for us or not, since we didn't meet princesses until sometime after 10 AM), then your son and his girlfriend might actually get duplicate princesses if you're in line at 9 AM, as it looks like those three also do the first coronation ceremony. I'm not sure if there's any solution to that problem, though. From my very limited experience it seems like you'd want to time it to hit the princesses themselves at about 10 AM (unless the coronation is a priority, in which case, maybe 9:50 AM). But obviously you can't be certain that will work!

The storytime was cute but nothing particularly special. It was just one of the princesses (Aurora in our case) sitting on the throne-chair thing and telling a story, with very minor interaction from the kids. I wouldn't suggest they stay for that. If your DS's girlfriend likes Tiana, they'd be better served trying to catch her show in New Orleans Square sometime when it's playing, IMO. :)

I DO agree with Raindown that your DS will be a hero for waiting at all, anywhere. :)

I'm so excited to see that they coronation is back. We were there last summer, and I was disappointed nothing else was going on at Princess Fantasy Faire. Thanks for the times guide schedule also. That is very helpful in planning our July trip!
