I've heard people mention that the little girls walk around "all the time" in princess costumes, and also something about a pirate night.

Do I need to plan to pack princess dresseses (and if so, how many) for my daughter who will be turning 4 on the day we leave?

If my daughter will be wearing princess dresses, what should/could I pack for my son (who will be 5 by the time we cruise) so he won't feel like sister gets all of the nice stuff and he has the same ol' same ol'?

Should I pack prirate costumes for the kids for pirate night? They were pirates last Halloween, so it would just be a matter of the luggage space for packing them.

To be honest, my kids don't generally wear character clothes, and while my daughter loves to play dress-up, I am not sure she'd be comfortable in one of those scratchy costumes for hours at a time.

Can anyone who has been through this with younger children share your experiences?

Thanks!!!!

There are a lot of kids that dress up in costumes, but it is less than half. I would guess maybe 1/4 or 1/3. My one daughter did it, my other daughter or son wouldn't. My one daughter loves to dress up so it was great for her. You could let her do it one night if she is into dressing up. I guess you could do Hook, Peter Pan , Buzz or Woody for your son. Have a great cruise :cheer2:
