Princess Dresses for CRT

My DD dressed up as Cinderella, and my DS dressed up as Prince Charming. I've got to say, my son got way more comments, as he kinda "stood out" more. They aren't going to feel out of place either way, but if they want to dress up, I would definitely let them do it. We just put the outfits over their t-shirts and shorts and then just pulled them off at the stroller so that we weren't battling over the restroom. We put them in a bag in the bottom of the stroller and never worried about them the rest of the day. They were pretty wrinkled that night but no big deal.

We're going back in October, and I asked my DD if she wanted to dress up again - she'll be 8. Absolutely!! She's already planning her next outfit!

Our dd's wore their Minnie Mouse dresses to Chef Mickey's then in the park. I had clothes under them and mid day when it got hot they took off the Minnie dresses. I just looped them through the belt on my fanny pack and it was no problem. We even had some guy stop us and ask if he could take their picture cause they were so cute in the dresses.

I would do it, you won't regret it!

on Halloween- did you consider going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? We've been twice, and are planning to go again this Oct, as it's a blast! The party is held in MK on several nights in Oct, and is very kid friendly. There are fun activities, a halloween parade, special fireworks, and they only sell a limited number of tickets.

Cadence--definitely bring the dresses! My dd had the time of her life at CRT in her dress. On the way up Main Street before breakfast we ran into some CMs in training. The trainer pulled my daughter aside and asked her if she could teach these new people how to behave around a princess. She taught them how to wave and curtsy, it was hysterical, by the time we were done we were late for breakfast and there was a huge crowd around us watching her.
If you are looking for Prince Charming (and who isn't?) go to Cinderella's Gala Feast at 1900 Park Faire in the Grand Floridian. They are both there along with two of the mice and the Fairy Godmother. DD wore her dress again for this.
I put a tank top and shorts on her and then the dress overtop and then just pulled the dress off and put it in the basket of our stroller after we were done eating. We were there in June, I think if it hadn't been so hot she would have left the dress on!

Cadence, if they want to wear the dresses, go for it. My girls wore their princess dresses for the Halloween party but changed from the Disney shoes to their sneakers for the parks. Trust me, those cute shoes aren't meant for walking Magic Kingdom. We were lucky that we were at the Poly so it wasn't much of a hike if we had to go back. I will say this though, some of the dresses aren't bleed proof. I guess that's the word. Our older daughter was Esmerelda, her beautiful skirt faded onto her white socks when we were dampened on Pirates. Not a big deal but I'd hate for the colors to bleed onto each other and ruin the dress. I'd give them the option of going and changing into regular clothes. You can rent a locker for something like $5, I'd stow the costumes in a small garment bag/ tote after breakfast then retrieve them on th eway out of the park rather than make your poor hubby schlepp them to the car. That's about an hour out of your day right there waiting for him to return from the car. I have read a little of your thread on the Budget Board, don't get over there much. Sounds like you're going to have a blast.

I love looking at the pictures of all of your princesses! Thank you all for sharing. I know my girls will love it. I have about five of my friends who are going to get up on the 90 day mark (it is 90 days right?) to help us try for the CRT PS. I'm so excited. I tested out the dresses in Zip loc baggies and they fit. I just roll them up small and throw them in. It took me about 5 mins to do three. :goodvibes I can just throw them in the stroller. Problem solved!
