I see there are 3 places: Cinderella's Castle, 1900 Park Faire and Asker (spelling is wrong I know)

Has anyone been to all 3? Its so hard deciding. Who exactly is seen at each meal? If you don't do the castle, are you still allowed inside to see?

My 5 year old loves princesses, and would like to have the most interaction.

Thanks

We do not bother with CRT any more, the food and the chaos is not worth the effort/price, in our opinion. Unfortunately, no, if you do not have an ADR to eat here you cannot go inside/upstairs to look at the restaurant. You can walk through the breezeway through the castle at 'street' level and look at the mosaic mural, but not into the restaurant itself.

We have found the best character interaction with the princesses at an off-peak meal at Akershus (we usually do a late lunch, 2-2:30pm), and have always seen Belle, Ariel, Snow White, and Alice with occasional Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Aurora, or Cinderella. The last time we were there it was the four 'always' girls, plus Cinderella and Aurora.

1900 Park Faire dinner is Cinderella and Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and the Stepsisters. We always enjoy this one too, but it is less princess-centric.

We have done breakfast at Akershus twice and breakfast at the castle once - we enjoyed both places! We like to meet as many princesses as possible. At Akershus, all three meals, there will be 5 princesses (or other ladies like Mary Poppins). At CRT, there will be 5 princesses or ladies for breakfast and lunch. Dinner only has Cinderella for the picture and then a short show with the Fairy Godmother. For that reason, dinner doesn't interest us. 1900 Park Fare dinner has the cast of Cinderella, with Prince Charming, the step-mother and step-sisters. (I haven't done this one, but it sounds like a lot of fun).

What characters would your DD like to meet? Does she love Cinderella? Or does she like other princesses better? My girls like Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and Mulan - so we chose meals with a variety of princesses so we could meet as many different ones as possible.

For the money, Akershus is the best value - it's less expensive than CRT and you still get to meet a variety of princesses. The dining room is very castle-like so you have a royal atmosphere too.

Yes I've been to all three. I like the Akershus the best for the princess interaction. CRT was a bad experience but I'm sure that was a fluke as most people love it. PF dinner is fun but it is just Cinderella as far as the princesses go. It's a hoot though since the stepsisters are there as well.

I've just done Akershus and CRT and for us it was the opposite. The character intereraction at CRT was by far superior. We enjoyed Akershus and will go back but CRT is a must for us. At Akershus we had Princess Aurora for photos as we entered and then 3 princesses plus Mary Poppins circulating. I have to say that Mary Poppins seemed really bored and couldn't wait to get through the room. I'm sure that this is not always the case though. At CRT Snow White approached our table asking if she could gather the rest of the princesses for a group photo with the four girls at our table. It was a priceless moment.

We did the 1900 PF dinner last month with our nieces, the character were fantastic, the food was horrible and we will not go back.

We also did the Norway breakfast for the second time and it was amazing. The girls received so much attention from the Princesses and the food was very very good.

I have full reviews and a ton of pics of both in my Jan link

We've eaten at all three multiple times in the last two years.
CRT - breakfast twice
Askershus - breakfast once and lunch once
1900 Park Fare - dinner once

We enjoyed all three very much and you really can't go wrong with any of them. We had good interaction at all three. The best interaction was probably at 1900 Park Fare but the only "princess" you get there is Cindy.

CRT - you can't go inside without a reservation to my knowledge. I think all little girls should eat here at least once for the magical atmosphere. Cindy is the greeter at all meals. Only breakfast and lunch have other princesses. At both of our breakfasts, we had Snow White, Jasmine and Belle in the dining room. For one of the breakfasts, we had the Fairy Godmother and for the other we had Sleeping Beauty. Food was good.

Askershus - princesses vary here. It seems like the breakfast is more princesses and friends and lunch seems to be mostly princesses. I believe lunch is your best chance to see Ariel in her human form. Food is okay. For both our breakfast and lunch, Belle in her yellow gown was the greeter. At lunch, we met Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel as a human and Cinderella (who is more of a sub than a regular). At breakfast, we met Mulan, Mary Poppins, Snow White and Jasmine.

1900 Park Fare - I believe breakfast is Alice & the Mad Hatter and Pooh characters. We have not been to breakfast. For dinner, it was Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella. This was a lot of the fun and the characters had a little more time to spend. Food was good.

Hope this helps! Good luck deciding! If you can afford to do more than one, I would book two of the three. Character dining to me is worth not having to wait in tons of lines to meet characters and get autographs and photos.

Another note that has not been mentioned yet:
CRT and Akershus both include a photo package with the meal price.
CRT is with Cinderella. Akershus is with Belle in her yellow ballgown, although if you want one of the others who is there on that day and she is available at the moment, they will usually substitute.

We have done dinner at Akershus and breakfast at CRT. CRT was fun, but we liked Akershus much better. At our CRT meal, the princesses were much more rushed. They stopped by for a picture and were off to the next table. At Akershus they chatted and let my DS (2 1/2) ooo and aaa over them. Every princess spent several minutes at our table. I know that there are a lot of mixed reviews about the food at Akershus. I did not mind the food at all. Both of my kids had Mickey shaped ravioli with meatballs and ate every bite.

CRT the princesses we had were Cindy, Belle (not in her gown), Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Jasmine.
Akershus the princesses we had were Belle (in her yellow gown), Cindy, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel.

Good luck!

Have done breakfast at CRT and Askerhaus and would recommend both. CRT is a bit more chaotic, but not that bad. You can't go wrong with either. 1900 is only Cinderella, no other princesses.

Don't forget to have DD wear her princess costume to the restaurant for the pictures. If you don't take it with you from home, it gets pretty expensive to stop a crying jag.
