We live an hour or so from Orlando and I'm really considering doing a princess dining for dd's 7th birthday in August. I just called for a little info and the first I could book this would be mid-March (but it fills up fast so I'd need to call first thing the morning of the 14th, 180 days out).
To take me, dh, dd, ds, my aunt and uncle and a cousin, my parents, and one other family (dd and ds' best friends and their parents) which would be 8 adults and 5 kids from 5-8 years old, I'd be looking at roughly $483 with tax and tip.
Now, I'd have till March to sell dh on this idea. But I'll need some help. Is there anyone who's done the princess dining that can tell me if it's worth it - were you wow'ed or disappointed? If you have any pictures I'd love that!! How much interaction was there with the princesses? Do you think they'd do anything birthday-ish? If we could get a cake it would be perfect! I'd be hoping to get reservations at the one in the castle.
Dh and my aunt and I (along with another aunt and my cousin) took our kids plus my cousin's dd (who I'm hoping could come from out of state with my aunt and uncle for this too) to a dinner with Pooh and Friends when dd was about 2 1/2 and ds was 14 months - they had a wonderful time!! So I might have pretty high expectations. We're also going on a Disney Cruise in March so I'll see how wow'ed and amazed dd is with the princesses then but it's actually right after the date that I'd have to make this reservation so I'm not sure that helps.
Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!!
