We will be at the world in April, and I want to take DD (2.5 years in April) to at least one character meal. I had booked Cape May Cafe for breakfast since we are staying at BCV. Now I am rethinking, and may want to take her to a princess meal. Can anyone tell me what to expect at the Akershus breakfast? Do you think DD will be too young to enjoy it? Is it worth the $$, or should I stick to Cape May?

Thanks!

We've never eaten at Cape May but I've heard good things about, especially that the character interaction is very good. Does your DD like Mickey and his friends?

We have done Akershus breakfast and loved it! If your DD likes the princesses, I'd do this one. It's a bit more expensive than Cape May but you do get a souvenir picture with Belle inside that is really cute. :goodvibes

We'll be doing Akershus for breakfast in September since DD is totally into princesses. I would pick based on who your DD is into. I hear Cape May is great!!!

My daughter will also be 2.5 in April when we go to WDW. Personally I would stick with Cape May. I'm not sure if your daughter likes those characters or is more into The Princesses? My daughter loves Mickey and his friends. We went to WDW this past November and did 2 character breakfasts at Crystal Palace (Pooh, Tiger, Eeyore, and Piglet) and Tusker House (Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey). She LOVED all the characters. She is just getting into the Princesses a little, but prefers Mickey and friends. We are doing 3 character breakfasts in April, none with Princesses. I think she will be much more into them when she is a little older. If your daughter likes the Playhouse Disney shows, then I would think she'd be very excited to meet Mickey and his Pals!:)

are you also aware that children under 3 are not charged to eat at Akershus?

My DD loved Akershus princess breakfast. She wasnt quite 3 yet and was in love! I have an older DD--teenager- who loved Akershus too! An although my DS's wont admit it they enjoyed all the fawning they received too :rotfl2:

I am aware, but thank you for mentioning that. We have six adults attending this breakfast so I want to make sure she will enjoy it since I am paying for all these meals :rotfl:

Thank you everyone for your replies! I am going to talk it over with DH, and see if he has an opinion before I book. I am still torn since both seem like good options.

DD2.5 really loved her last character meal at Ohana. She really got into it and was so excited to see the characters. She was just over 2 at the time.

We have booked Akershus for April (she'll be almost 3) so we fully expect her to enjoy meeting the princesses. She has princess stuff at home, so I'm sure she'll be starstruck!
