I see this film is playing in the UK now. I saw it here in the states, and I liked it. I thought Anne Hathaway was so good. You really believe she's a princess.princess: And Dame Julie Andrews is 'practically perfect' as Mia's grandmum the queen of Genovia. So what did you think of her 'singing' part?

My guess is the reviews for this film haven't been good in Britain as was the case here. I saw a review on the Mirror's site and they said something on the order of 'why is Julie in ths swill?' I don't think critics are that kind to 'U' rated kids films anyway. If you haven't seen Princess Mia at the cinema yet, please do. I think it's good clean fun.

P.S. In the last scene of the film, I think Anne as Mia looks a little like Belle.princess:

Thank you for your review :)

This film is right up my DD's street :)

I saw it last week. I thought it was okay, not as good as the first one but the children we had with us thought it was great.

me too, I love the first one and I missed it while I was at WDW in the summer so shall have to go and see it here. Anyone else looking forward to seeing the Incredibles too? :teeth:

Oh my goodness Anz, I can't wait for the Incredibles to come out :)

It looks like it is going to be brilliant!

I thought it was terrible. And we loved the first one. It seemed cheaply done, with more than one part looking like they cut scenes to make it 'move'. It's a shame that Julie Andrew's first singing bit in some years was with Disney's latest "star" of the month, Raven. It was embarasing, to say the least. You want to see a great princess movie? See Ella Enchanted instead. Much much better.

And the same 'princess' plays Ella too! Anne sings in that film. I said I thought she looked like Belle in PD2. I think she should play Belle on Broadway.princess:

And I should add that Anne was considered for the title role in Lord Lloyd Webber's new West End musical The Woman in White, but was turned down. I think she's beter off as a princess though.:D
