Every time we go to Disneyland our DD8 has a Princess Day. It's her day to dress up and seek out as many Princesses as we can. (Definitely NOT DH favorite Disney day!:crazy2:) We haven't been since 2014 and back then Anna and Elsa were in DL and there was a whole planning strategy involved with meeting them. Now they're in California Adventure and hopefully their popularity has decreased a little, do we just meet them as we do the other princesses, ie line up in a reasonable length queue, or is there still a technique?
In relation to the others, we will be doing Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique to get in the mood, the Fantasy Faire, The Royal Theatre, hopefully Jasmine still pops at at Alladin's Oasis, that should cover most of them, and we'll just ask cast members where any that we miss might be.

We may consider lunch at Ariel's but probably not because I've heard the interaction there isn't great.
Any other suggestions of how we might see the Princesses?
She loves Mulan but we didn't see her last trip, does she make an appearance now?princess:

Anna and Elsa don't require that much of a wait anymore, and scheming and strategizing to meet them isn't needed. They meet most of the day.

The problem you may run into is that not all princesses meet every day. For instance, Aurora isn't meeting today. And the Royal Hall right now only shows Ariel and "Disney Princesses," not which ones they are.

I'm not sure when you're going but currently Moana is in the Aladdin's Oasis spot. I noticed I the app today that Jasmine was meeting in the PFF area but not inside the Royal Hall. They have a M&G spot outside the Royal Hall near the footbridge toward the castle. We've seen Merida and Rapunzel in that spot in the past (though not super recently).

I am not an AG fan. The food isn't great and the drive by princess interaction even worse...We stopped going several years back even though I have 3 daughters.

We have meet Mulan inside the Royal Hall several times but as stated above, there's no guarantee who will be there. Mulan has her own M&G right now for Lunar New Year in DCA.

Thanks for your responses. It's ok if we don't see all the Princess on the one day, we're at the park for several days so can come back for any we miss but would like to get as many done on the one day to get it over with! I had forgotten about Moana! We're going in May so hopefully she'll still be around then. I hadn't thought of the app. I'll make sure I check on that. Thanks again! princess:

One other thing- it won't get you the special entry to the Royal Hall, but in my opinion the hair styles at the Anna and Elsa Boutique in DTD are much cuter than the super tight/facelift inducing bun that it seems like the BBB hairstyles are all based on. It's cheaper too... but I understand the experience isn't quite the same.

My youngest had not even shoulder length hair at the time (thanks to a haircut by the blonde one above!) but she was still very happy with what they did with her hair

Ohh I love those hair styles! I hadn't heard of the Anna and Elsa Boutique but it looks good. My DD8 won't notice a difference in experience but I'll notice a difference in the price and I really love those styles! Thank you so much!

Fwiw DCA is now hosting Princess Elena. She's the latest addition to the Disney princesses but no movie. Tv show maybe? Anyway there's a new princess for your list this time!

Anna/Elsa has consistently been 30 min waits on "slow" (1-3 crowd level as ranked by touring plans) days for us. Definitely not terrible like it used to be, but something to keep in mind. A good midday break maybe, because it's indoors and they're showing animation clips on big screens around the whole room.

For other princesses, I tentatively plan based on meeting times the day before (i.e., usually there are princesses meeting at the wishing well at 10am, either Ariel or Aurora.) Then the day of, I look and plan out the order. If it's that kind of day where we're knocking out all the princesses in one day, we try to be at the lineup 5-10mins in advance, so we can be one of the first to meet and then move to the next character. One time, Ariel was meeting at 10 at the wishing well and Aurora was meeting at 10:30, so we got there first in line to meet Ariel, waited a few minutes for the line to build up, and then moved to the back of the line to wait for Aurora to show up at 10:30. Anyway, the app is really helpful if you want to be as efficient as possible. Once you do royal hall with BBB, you'll probably just have a couple to meet in the fantasy faire courtyard, maybe a couple by the wishing well, and Tiana at NO square.
