Princess Cruises

Hi everyone!

My boyfriend is going to be going to either Iraq or Afganistan in late spring/ early summer, so we decided to take a cruise over my April vacation. We're strongly leaning towards Princess right now. I've cruised on the Magic 4 times, once on Norwegian ( I wasn't a huge fan of that ship) and once on an old Carnival ship. He's never cruised before.

We're seriously looking at either the Crown Princess or the Star Princess, has anyone ever been on either ship?

check out www.cruisecritic.com. There's a wealth of info over there. My parents just sailed Princess and liked the ship a lot. I would also look into Royal Caribbean. There might be more activities for younger people (you sound college aged?). I was on The Radiance of the Seas when the ship was completely full and you never would have known it was full. It holds the crowds well, which would be good during spring break.

We were on the Star Princess for our Alaskan cruise a few years back. We really had a great time. I thought the ship was really nice. The thing I like about Princess cruises is being able to eat when I want to eat and not have to conform to a certain time (ie, early or late seating).

First a for your DBF.....

My DBIL is doing his second active duty tour (in less than 2 yrs) soon. He is leaving for Afghanistan on Jan 15th. His unit was told to take guns this time.
(Last trip the were in Kuwait and Germany) This time they are guarding plane maintenance facilities. I'm really scared for my Dbil and for his group too...

Now for vaca....

One of the princess ships was next to us in Cozumel i think....

I'll see if we have the name of it in one of our pics..... It looked real nice...
