Would like to do a Princess Character meal w/dd (3) but didn't want to use 2 meals w/dining plan since we are using 2 for hoop dee doo revue. Any suggestions on which one? We have a ds (8) ds (9mth).

We are doing the same thing as you, taking 3 year old DD, and infant DS (13 months) in Sept. There are 2 other 1TS Princess meals. Akershus at Epcot and 1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian. Akershus has 5 princesses, usually Belle greeting & 4 other Princesses(leading ladies) walking around for all 3 meals. Lunch & Dinner is Norwegian food, with Breakfast being American. Picture of greeting princess (usually Belle) is included.

1900 Park Fare has Cinderella & stepsisters I think at dinner.

I am planning on doing Akershus lunch and CRT breakfast, since it's worth 2 TS credits to eat at the castle. But I think people like both Akershus & 1900 Park Fare too, depending on who DD wants to see. More princesses at Akershus.

Since you don't want to use 2 TS credits for CRT, your only option for a 1 TS princess character meal is Akershus in Norway. The only other thing you could do is 1900 Park Faire dinner, which is also 1 TS - BUT you only get 1 princess there: Cinderella - the rest of the characters are Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine & the two stepsisters.

We've eaten at both CRT and Norway. I thought CRT was expensive for what you got and the character interaction was OK. We were lucky, it was our daughter's 2nd birthday and when the waiter brought a cupcake for her birthday, Sleeping Beauty was at our table and sang to her. Sleeping Beauty is her favorite princess so she was so excited. I thought in the interaction with the princesses at Norway was better. They stopped and talked with the girls. At CRT they signed the books and moved on. Plus Norway is only 1 TS.

We have done both CRT and Norway also. If you want more bang for your buck, I would recommend Norway. I think there are 4-5 princesses there and in the past that has included Cinderella. CRT was fun for us, but mainly to eat in the castle. The characters are good, but you don't get to spend individual time with them like you do in Norway and it is only Cinderlla, the mice and Fairy Godmother. We happened to be there for the fireworks, so that was kind of cool to see them from the inside. I don't know that it is worth 2 DDP credits though.

I would definitely recommend Norway. 1 credit for all the princesses and you get the free picture too. :goodvibes

We did Norway also.. Have never done CRT, and wouldn't mind doing it at some point, but 2TS credits for it, and the reviews i have read on it hasn't been very good. The food at Akershus is okay.. nothing spectacular, but i also agree with previous posters that the interaction there was awesome.. We managed to be sitting in the area where the princesses comme out of the back room... they each took lots of time with my DD..

so another vote for Akershus

We did Norway last Sept. for a princess lunch. It was a great meal and we were treated to "above and beyond" customer service. It totally satisfied our Princesses, ages 5 and 8. However, there IS something special about eating at the top of the castle. We had that experience in 2006 and I have to say, it really was magical. But I, too, think 2 TS credits is a little steep. I suppose one option is to pay for that experience out of pocket and save the 2 credits for 2 actual meals at other times. Incidentally, we went to breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in 2008, and didn't enjoy the atmosphere. It's just so LOUD in there. It was neat to see the Grand Floridian and the Wonderland characters, but we probably won't go back again.
