Princess Caitlin pre trip August '10 costarring dawnbu40

Oh, I want to do that!! Do I just call the dining line? I can't believe it's been extended, I have wanted to do it since it started:woohoo:

I saw that, too! That's so great you were able to get it for Dale! I can't wait to hear what you think of it! One of the other TR's I'm reading said that they thought the dessert selection had been increased from last year.

Thank you! I hope we all enjoy it! I really haven't read many reviews of it so thanks for the positive info

Yes you call the dining line (407-wdw-dine) and you have to pay when you make the booking.

We've wanted to try it out since the beginning too! I hope it meets our expectations :goodvibes

How much does it cost to do the Dessert Party?

The party is $25.99 for adults and $13.99 plus tax (I'm thinking they raised the price since that used to be the price for "peak" season) I figure it's something that we'll probably just do once so it's worth the price :)

Thanks Dawn, before I go to bed tonight I'll figure out which night we can go and book it before I leave for work in the morning!!!:cool1:

Hi All! :wave2: Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Caitlin is back at work on Scream4 today. This makes her 5th day on that movie and she's already been paid for 3 so she's loving it! Today they are filming in a neighboring community so she is only about 10 minutes away. We went over there yesterday to see where she'd be working and were surprised to see they'd created a false front for a police station. It reminded us of the false fronts in DHS :)

In other news....Dale got an Ipad which I really thought was going to be a stupid little thing but I must say, I LOVE IT! :thumbsup2 There are so many Disney apps! We downloaded the Hidden Mickey book and we'll use it search for them in the parks :) I also put our whole itinerary and all our adr #s in it so they'll all be nice and handy. Gotta love anything that helps with our trip planning right?

Anyway, here are our plans for Saturday Sept.4 which will be our last full day at WDW.....

We have an 8:15 adr at Tusker House but I'm not certain we'll make it. Dale isn't a big fan of character meals and it is early so we'll see what happens.

After breakfast at either BC or AK we will of course be touring the AK.
A must-do is Nemo. Dale has never seen it and has no idea what he's missing! Our other must-dos are the usual... Dinosaur, Safari, EE (you know I won't be riding this. Once was more than enough!) When we need to cool off we'll probably ride Kali and go inside and visit the Bugs. I imagine we'll skip the Lion King this time because we saw it twice in March. If the heat is bearable I'd like to wander the trails and take lots of pictures :)

At 1pm we have a lunch adr at Yak and Yeti. We enjoyed their counter service in March so we're looking forward to trying the table service!

I'd like to stick around long enough to catch the parade since it's one of our favorites! The problem is we always seem to finish up at AK long before the parade begins

That afternoon I'm sure we'll pay another visit to SAB :goodvibes

Our evening plans are rather up in the air since we're not certain whether or not or friends are coming. If they don't come we'll probably go over to Epcot and grab cs for dinner. While if they do come, we'll probably got to Captain's Grille.

We plan to close the evening by going to see the live entertainers at either POR or POFQ. We really enjoyed Elliot Dison last year and we've heard good things about Yeehah Bob as well, so we'll catch one of their shows :)

Then it will be back to the room to pack up :sad1:

Sounds like enough time for the new rumored Animal Kingdom excursion if it opens this fall!! ;)

Maybe having the lunch ressie will help you be in the park longer? :confused3

Caitlin's getting a lot more work from this one film than she did the others, isn't she? :woohoo:

I'm hoping you're right that the adr will keep us longer since we usually do a cs lunch.

She worked 3 days on the Pierce Brosnan movie so yes this one is providing her with a lot more work and hopefully increasing her chances of being seen! :) Scream is filming here through August so we're crossing our fingers the work will keep coming!

She also found out that Miley Cyrus is filming a movie here soon and it has several school scenes so she may get that one too :)

That sounds like a pretty packed last full day! Sounds like a lot of fun though. I hope you enjoy Yak and Yeti. I know we loved it. And Dale hasn't seen the Nemo show yet?

Thanks!

The first time we saw Nemo was on our 2008 girl's Christmas trip so Dale of course wasn't there. I'm not sure why we missed it in May 2009 and then when Dale and I went back in Sept.09 we skipped AK so this time he has to see it! :goodvibes

I'm clueless on the i-stuff I have to admit. I keep hearing everyone talk about it but I don't even know what the ipad is. Is it one of those small laptops? Well, like you said, it's fun to have a new toy that helps the Disney planning.

Happy Birthday Dawn!!!
:bday: party: :jumping1:

Happy Belated Birthday!!!! :dance3:

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you're all having a great weekend! :goodvibes

This morning as I was checking my Facebook, I saw that the "Disney Food Blog" announced that the Wishes Dessert Party has been extended through December! :) This was actually one of the very few things Dale had said he'd like to try,and he never asks for anything on our trips except for the occasional Grey Goose Slushie ;), so I really wanted to be able to do it!

Well, Caitlin just got off the phone and we're booked :woohoo: Sept. 2nd which is a Spectro/Wishes night we will at the Dessert Party :yay:

Did I mention only 6 MORE WEEKS!!!!

Yay! for 6 weeks! :yay:

I booked Dessert party too for October, so the plans change again. LOL! I look fwd to hearing what you think, in case I want to cancel. Either people love it or hate it. :confused3

It sort of looks like a bigger Iphone but has more the capabilites of a laptop? I don't usually pay attention to these things but when Dale showed me Disney stuff I could I was in :rotfl:

Thank you!
It seems like with most things involving Disney people either love it or hate it. Why is that? Hopefully, we'll love it in Sept and you'll love it in Oct! :goodvibes

Sounds like enough time for the new rumored Animal Kingdom excursion if it opens this fall!! ;)

I somehow managed to completely miss your post :confused3

The new AK tour/excursion sounds wonderful! Unfortunately, I don't think it's supposed to start in time for our trip. If it does though it would be very tempting!

I changed our plans again! :rolleyes1 I think it's a sickness or maybe an addiction but I just can't leave well enough alone! I did not change our resorts though! I am more then happy with those! :)

I didn't change resorts but I did change adrs. AGAIN! I read that Via Napoli will be having it's soft opening while we're there so we decided to try that instead of our Mama Melrose adr. (we'll just take the boat from DHS to Epcot) We are really excited to try out the new place (hoping the pizza is amazing!) but it isn't taking reservations during our stay. So that means hoping we can get a walk in without much wait. I'm not crazy about the idea of being stuck if it's too busy so I booked a backup adr at Biergarten, just in case.

In other news...Caitlin continues her Scream work. She worked 12 hour days Monday and Tuesday and then last night through Friday night she's on 10 hour overnight filming. The night shoot location is almost an hour away in the middle of nowhere. I wasn't crazy about her working midnights but she met a nice girl on the set and they're commuting together. For the night scenes she's in full costume and a wig which is a fun experience! :) Hopefully when things slow down a bit she'll do an update on our TR since it's her turn :rolleyes1
