So I have been eagerly awaiting May 1st when MNSSHP tickets should go on sale. As I'm sure I've said numerous times we booked Bounceback on our "Dawn and Dale" trip so we could take Caitlin to MNSSHP. When we went last Sept we knew she'd love it so we took the BB offer with the free dining. Well rumors have been flying all over the Dis that this year the party is not starting until Sept. 14 Yep! 9 days after WE LEAVE Sure enough, I checked the MK calendar and Friday Sept 3(which by last year's party dates should be the first party) and the park says it is open until 10. Caitlin and I are so bummed about this! (Dale takes everything in stride) If I had known the party wasn't going to be happening then I would not have chosen to go in late August. But since we have already booked our airfare we can't change it. I'm still hoping that since nothing has been "officially" announced that the calendar will change and there will be a party that night.

Huge bummer!!!! I hope they reconsider the dates as it gets closer. They started the flower festival (name???) earlier and it goes longer this year, or so I read.

Thanks Melissa! The Flower Fest did start earlier this year which we were happy about since we were able to catch it last month!

As for the party... I'm kind of accepting it won't happen, so yesterday I redid our park days and switched some adrs.

Day one plans look great , can't wait to hear what you think about Cape May

Keeping my fingers crossed that the MK calendar changes and you are able to attend MNSSHP . It's ashame that airfare companies aren't more flexible when it comes to vacations and then you could change your dates & the problem would be solved !

Thanks! I'm hoping we like Cape May. We love their breakfast!

If we were able to switch we'd go earlier so either way we wouldn't be able to do the party. Caitlin starts classes on Sept 8 so there is no way we could go later. But I'm accepting that it doesn't look like the party will be happening and switched some adrs and park days around so I'm doing better

We just made a huge change to our plans! We will be staying at a Deluxe hotel for our first three nights and switching over to POP Century for 4 nights.... What Deluxe you ask?... Well DISfriends start guessing we will post the answer once someone gets it correct!

The best part is the whole 7 nights come out to a $100 less than our original 7 nights at Coronado Springs!

I stayed at Poly a couple times as a kid, back in the day when the choices were only CR or Poly, and where we're staying in August is brand new to all 3 of us

Yes we will be staying at the Boardwalk in a preferred view one bedroom villa!

We are all very excited my mom and dad have always loved visiting Boardwalk so it's a dream come true!

I on the other hand have to start working on overcoming my fear of clowns

Yes we are going to the Boardwalk! We are so excited! I love that whole Epcot area with the Boardwalk and the Yacht and Beach Club so this is really exciting for us!


We got an offer we couldn't pass up so a split stay it will be! I think this way it will feel like we are getting 2 vacations in 1!

Since we already reserved a car switching resorts shouldn't be too complicated and I figure I'll pack the things we need for Pop in a seperate suitcase that can just stay in the trunk during our BWV stay. This way we have less to haul to each place

Oooh, I was totally going to guess the Boardwalk area! You are going to love it! Plus now it will be easy for you to eat at Beaches and Cream. Plus, you really can't beat how close you are to both DHS and Epcot. We loved staying in that area!

You were right! I actually went through our adrs and park plans today and switched our days so our Epcot and DHS days would be while we're at BWV to take advantage of the proximity.

Oh my gosh, it's wonderful to just know that if you feel like a chocolate croissant, you can just stroll to Epcot and pop into the pattisserie in France! Sigh. When we stayed at BC, it was literally less than 5 minutes. It's fantastic. We are doing a split stay this next trip and the latter half we'll be at the Dolphin (first time there) because we loved that area so much! Debating throwing in a Cape May character breakfast if the munchkin isn't afraid of the big characters.

I'm still debating writing a TR. We'll see how the pics come out.

You are making me even more excited! I love the idea of being in that area! The Dolphin is lovely! When Dale and I were in WDW in Sept friends of ours came and visited us and spent the night there and we all went to JellyRolls then we walked them back to their resort and we were impressed. Where are you staying the first half?
We tried the Cape May breakfast once and really liked it. The atmosphere is much calmer then a lot of the character meals. Well if you decide to do a TR we're in!
