How weird would it be if I let DD dress in her princess costume and DS dress in his pirate costume for the plane ride to Orlando. I thought it might be fun for them and would ease their nerves(and Mine) over flying. Has anyone done this? I haven't said anything to them about it because I really haven't made up my mind. :confused3

We let our DD 2 1/2 last Arpil fly out of the Uk dressed as cinderella. She had a ball, as she was fussed over by other customers and air crew!!! We took cmfy clothes for her to change into and snuggle down and wiatch tv on. She INSISTED on putting it back on when the plane landed in MCO!! Still it was her holiday and we loved it. Started the holiday in a magical way............... go for it !! :cool1:

I wouldn't think it would cause any problems; I'm sure that most people would think it was cute.

Just to be on the safe side, have your pirate put his sword and hook into the checked baggage; you don't want any holdups at TSA. I know they are plastic, but TSA can be weird about anything that even *remotely* resembles any kind of weapon. You don't want to risk having something confiscated, as that would be a bad start to your trip.

Now a few weeks ago I was on a plane with a grown woman dressed up in full rodeo queen regalia, complete with the sash and a tiara on her western hat. THAT was strange. (I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first, thinking maybe there was a press conference at the arrival airport. Nope.)

That was ME!!! :lmao: Just kidding.... :rotfl2: Perhaps she was on her way to a..... oh, I give... :rotfl:

For the OP, I think it would be adorable and something to definately take their minds off of flying. Being fussed over and made to feel special would calm the nerves for sure! Go for it!!!

Why are you telling everyone how I dress when I fly? Are you making fun of me? :lmao: :rotfl2:

To the OP: I think it would be so cute for your DD to dress as a princess. She would be so fussed over by the other passengers and the airline staff!

It would be cute BUT make sure the costumes are comfortable you may be in the seats a long time, are they easy to move in in case you have to hurry to a connection and very important are they easy to go to the bathroom in? those airplane baths are very tight. And do you care if they spill on them, do you want pictures in them at disney. It is very easy to spill on an airplane. Will they hold up to tough wear for a few hours. Do their backpacks fit comfortable over them, etc I always dress my kids for comfort and ease for the airplane. Have fun they will be excited enough whatever you do especially if flying is new to them - treat it like it is an adventure.

My DD6 wore her princess crown on our flight in January. A lot of people had fun commenting "I bet I can guess where you are going" - not just the flight attendants. She loved the extra attention.

Have a great vacation! :cool1:
