About me
Okay, no more excuses... no more "I'll start over tomorrow"... This is it! I have to lose this weight once and for all!!!

I am Amber :teeth: . I am 29, married to a wonderful hubby of 9 years, live in VA, I am a preschool teacher and a part-time college student, and I need to lose alot of weight.

I am 5'9" and as of this evening.... I weigh 327 pounds!!! Most of the jiggle is in my butt and hips! Hahaha :lmao:

Our next trip to Disney World is in January and I'd like to drop atleast 50 pounds by then.

As soon as the next Biggest Loser challenge starts again, I want to join, but I'm officially back on track as of tomorrow morning at 5am!!! :woohoo:

That being said... I need to get some sleep! LOL :rotfl2:

Comments and encouragement are definitely welcome!!! :thanks:

Pictures
I decided to add a few pictures for reference and because I love some of them! LOL

This is from my first trip to WDW, November 2005. It's one of my favorites...

This is me at Disney MGM in April 2006. It's one of hubby's favorite...

I love Lilo and Stitch. They were so funny! Stitch has my autograph book on top of his head!!! :lmao:

Okay, don't look!!! This is my full body pic for reference. As you can see, I am much smaller on top than I am on bottom...

Tickers
My goal right now is to get under 200. Then I will go from there (more weight-loss and possibly some plastic surgery for loose skin).

My official weight loss ticker for weight-loss over past 2 years...

Welcome to WISH!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm just a little older than you (32) and I can relate to your goal!!! We're going to Disney next month and I've been so determined to lose weight for that trip (thankfully I have! ). I'm not at goal, but progress has definitely been made.

Have you set up a plan? What's your eating plan? Exercise? I found that really devising a plan for me, weekly, helped me stay on track. Writing a journal has been WONDERFUL so I highly recommend you stick with it. We're all here for you!!! It helps to be accountable whether you're having a good or bad day!

It sounds like you already have a great attitude so you're on the right track! Don't hesitate to post as often as you want and ask as many questions as you want too. We're all in this together!! :sunny:

Welcome to WISH, Amber!

Your goal seems very doable & you seem to have the mindset! You CAN do this!!

Have a great rest of the week!!

Thanks CJK and Julie!!! I apprecaite the encouragement!

Well... I'm off to a great start. I believe the last few pounds I had gained are from "that time of the month" coming up. I always lose most of the weight before I "start". So this week will be very successful. I know I shouldn't weigh everyday, but I can't help myself, especially when I am doing good. And when I am not doing good, it's a reminder.

Anyways, I got on the scale this morning and I have lost 3.2 so far!!! From 327 to 323.8! Yaaayyy!!!

My plan right now is doing the exchange diet with an average of 1500 calories a day. Although, I did slip-up twice yesterday and had a doughnut for snack :confused3 (they were in our kitchen at work), and I was on campus at dinnertime so I had half of a big, greasy sub at Quizno's :sad2: . I ate 2 bites of the cookie that came with my sub. And... I didn't get quite enough fruits and veggies yesterday. I know I will do much better today since I have no classes tonight.

I have yet to start an exercise routine because this week is very hectic. I started a new semester at school and at work we are still in the summer program. So next week when my work's school year starts, I'll have more time to work out a schedule for working out! LOL :teeth:

Welcome Amber! The WISH boards are a great source of inspiration and support for the changes you'll be making in your lifestyle. Check in often..it really helps! Much success to you as you begin your journey! Denise

Congrats on the weightloss!! :cheer2: :cheer2: You're on the right track! Just imagine all of your success once you get into an exercise routine too! Keep up the great work and keep on journalling! :)

Okay, so I got a little off track the past 2 days. I am PMSing! LOL

I decided to join the September Exercise Challenge, but I set a low goal for myself so I don't beat myself up if I don't make it :confused3 , or I can cheer if I exceed it! :cheer2:

Anyways, I did gain back 2 of the pounds I lost, so I now have only lost 2 since starting, but I'm okay with that. I know I shouldn't weigh everyday, but seeing that 2 pounds back on got me back on track. I'm munching on an apple as I write this! :rotfl2:

Alright, so you know what gets on my nerves? Not to be discriminatory, but my skinny-mini team teacher :teacher: ate like twice what I did yesterday at lunch and she never exercises! It's just not fair! *pitching a fit* Why do I have to watch every little thing I eat, exercise, drink tons of water just to lose a few pounds and she can eat alot, not exercise, drink very little water, and be so petite??? Ugh... such is life, I guess.

Hey, I just went back to your original post and saw you're pictures. They're great! You and dh look so cute together. You're lucky not to have a chubby face like I do!!

I COMPLETELY understand how frustrating it is watching slim people eat so much food and not gain weight. I have many friends like that which drives me crazy! I wish I knew the answer, but all I can say is that I try not to think about it very often. More often than not, I see a lot of people who really do have to watch what they eat. Luckily there's a lot of us going through this together!

Congrats on joining the exercise challenge! It's such a great motivator. Best of luck!!

Thanks! :teeth: DH is trying to lose weight, too. He's so adorable! LOL
I may not have a chubby face, but I can't tell you how many people I walk by that look at my face and then I watch their eyes look down to my lower body and they frown! I kid you not!!! :furious: It's so annoying!

Yeah, BG has alot of hills, too. No flat paving.

I actually have lost 6.6 since last Monday, but I decided to "start over" since I am joining the Biggest Loser Challenge here. We start today and I didn't think it would be fair to the other people to still count that 6.6 pounds. :guilty: LOL! :rotfl2:

Welcome to wish

No kidding! Today my director brought us in a big bowl of Hershey's Truffle Kisses! All I can say is... "YUM!" :lmao: I had 3, but they are small, so I'm not going to beat myself up!

You had only 3 truffle kisses?????????? Now THAT needs to be celebrated!!!!! :cheer2: I KNOW I wouldn't have had such restraint!!!! Way to go!

CJK you have the best restraint on the boards!!!! Your always making me feel guilty :)
Princess: on Friday I had a cake from a child who had a birthday & also 3 chocs from a teacher too!!! Not to mention another collegues anniversary party that evening with a buffet...i wont go into that, its all on my journal!!!!
Hope you had a healthy & happy weekend!

hehe Thanks for that! Now, talk to me after I get back from my trip in October. I'll be shocked if I can continue being so strict without an anniversary dress to fit into! :teeth:
