Princess 1/2 Participants

Hello fellow DISer's. DW finished the WDW 1/2 (her first) this year and wants to do the Princess 1/2 next year. She is hoping to run at WDW in a little bit less crowded event. Does anyone know about what the field's size is? Thanks!

Not exactly sure since this is the first Princess 1/2.

From reading at Robert's site it looks like the actual 1/2 Marathon field this year is 7500. The thing I think threw me was the press release (you can see it on Robert's site) had said 10,000 runners for the weekend. I figured it meant 10,000 for the 1/2 and the usual 3,000 or whatever the 5Ks are now but apparently the 10,000 is TOTAL.

Congrats to your DW on her 1st and it's WONDERFUL that she is looking at getting another one scheduled All the best to both of you in your training!!!

Disney usually allows 4,000 for its 5K's.

I think the response to the 1/2 was less than expected and rather see it "fill" than end up short(ie 10,000). With Disney, you really never know how many really have signed up. If you look at max's vs finishers, they have a high DNF rate
