Prince Poppycock tonight-9/7/2010

I can't believe the final four is almost exactly just what I would have picked :rotfl:

I came in late so I haven't seen tons of Prince Poppycock. However, I think it's great that he's just totally himself. Regardless of what you choose to do in life it's a sign of a strong human being and I really admire that :goodvibes

Jackie Evancho- What's there to say? Regardless of age, and even if you don't like opera, her voice is beautiful and her song choices have been well picked. I see her winning, even though she's not my first pick. But no matter what happens from here on out, the girl's already a superstar! :cutie:

I for one wouldn't go see her in Vegas. She's great for a few songs but I don't know about an entire concert. It IS still opera after all lol

Fighting Gravity- I can't help it. These dudes have my vote to win. Certain aspects of their act have been done before of course, but nothing in they way they seem to sucessfully pull it off. I loved the skit with the skateboards!

If they had a bigger budget and a whole staff and crew, their Vegas show could have the potential to be AMAZING. If they come through my town I'm going to see them, even if I've gotta go alone :upsidedow

I would say the same thing about Prince Poppycock, bigger budget, whole staff and crew and his show will be even more amazing. I would go see him in a minute. I like Fighting Gravity too, I agree their show could be very good, but I think there are alot of similiar acts in Vegas. Blue Man Group, Stomp like groups, Circ shows, that type. Prince Poppycock is unique.

I think the Final 4 will all do well no matter who actually wins.

I'm glad to see that others have the same opinion of Jackie Evancho that I do. DH thinks she's great and wants her to win it all. She does have a lovely voice and there's no doubt that she's cute as can be, but I can't see paying Las Vegas prices to go and hear her sing.

I think Jackie Evancho will do well regardless of the outcome. In last year's Britain's Got Talent, it was not Susan Boyle who took home the winning prize, but some group act that I for one will never know. However, I can pick up Susan Boyle's CD just about anywhere that CD's are sold. I think it will be the same for Jackie.

My vote goes to Fighting Gravity. While their idea is not necessarily original, the are entertaining to watch.

I found out something interesting today. All three singers have already released albums prior to AGT. Grimm has two, John Quale (aka Poppycock) has one and even little Jackie Evancho has one that she recorded when she was 9.

My problem with the fire guy was: with his last performance - there was no illusion in his illusion. The stage was covered in 2 feet of smoke and we were never even shown the device he got into and then escaped out of. It was fairly obvious all he did was crawl out underneath and climb up the back of the stairs. It was almost as if he said, "the cooler the fire is - the less you'll care that there's no coll illusion."

Hey, guys! I'm an AGT fan and saw your post here. I love Prince Poppycock and am entertained all the way (I actually LOL at his US Capitol building and Flag "ladies") ...sad to see Grasso go... I love Evancho but not for a Vegas show... Grimm is alright, just something about him creeps me out. I love Fighting Gravity and would go to see them in a show in Vegas.

My DH saw Antonio Restivo (sp) "the fire guy" in Vegas a few years ago. He already HAD a Las Vegas show called "Bite". A Vampire show. I'm sure there's something on-line about it.

That's really interesting to hear that all 3 singers have produced a record already...for me that is disappointing...I like to think that AGT is really about finding New talent. Oh well. I'm still watching and will probably even vote next week!

One of the kids from Future Funk was on Yo Gabba Gabba (which makes my skin crawl).

I want a re-count. :sad1:

I was not expecting that at all. I'm shocked by all the results. Prince Poppycock fourth?!?!!?

I am sad to see Prince P go ... but I guess in I'm in the minority in agreeing with Pierce. I don't think PP should have gone all serious for the finals. I wanted something fun again and thought he did 'blow it' (even though he was very good) for going further.

I read somewhere that he was planning to do "Nature Boy" (Nat King Cole, David Bowie) but could not get the rights to it. I think he fell back on Nessun Dorma since he had performed it before.

ah, thanks for the info! I do look forward to hearing what PP does in the future.
