How intense is this ride? I don't mind spinning rides, but does it have those G-forces that say Rock-n-roller-rollercoaster has?

I believe the best way to discribe Primeval Whirl, is like riding BTMRR WHILE SEATING IN A TEACUP...seats are designed to hold appx 4 ...there were only two of us so we where sliding around holding on for dear life.

I agree with Magic.....I love the teacups and I love BTMRR but I hated this one.....too much spinning and coaster together for me.

Disnee Dad Says................................???????

You can get far more spins out of teacups than you can PW.
And it's 1/10 the speed of Big Thunder.
You get 8 to 10 spins on PW, you can do that on teacups in 10 seconds!
It's a fair ride, but the height restriction should be about 12", less than teacups.

And as far as g's go, the only g's you will pull here, is gees that was it?

If you are really tired, you may fall asleep on this ride.

It's just a nice little carnival type ride, with a couple of spins, and a dreaded 30 foot drop, that you also get at PoTC.

I like this ride but as earliar posters stated it is very tame. We rode it after having breakfast with Donald.

The ride is very mild. Think of it as a "wild mouse" type of coaster that spins. My wife even rode it and she typically rides the bench when we go on regular roller coasters. Its fun but don't waste your time waiting in line if there is a long wait.

my DS5 and I loved the ride, the spinning made you giggle, but it was very "jerky" and I didn't like that at all.

OK Where is this ride? I don't recall ever seeing it.

Thanks

It's in Animal Kingdom in the new Chester and Hester's area back in Dinoland U.S.A. It's relatively new.

Thanks for all of the replies! Looks like this will be a great ride for DS and me. What is the height restriction? Wonder if DD could ride it?

Thanks Disnee Dad, that made me smile!!!!!!:)

This was actually my family's least favorite ride - we were all miserable and praying for it to be over. #1 - we all love spinning rides, #2 - all but one loves coasters. Something about this ride ate us up. I think for me it was the fact that the outer two seats are hanging over the edge of the track. It was not super slow as some previous posters said, and it was EXTREMELY jerky and I kept thinking the thing was going to break down and fling us to the ground. Maybe we are just a strange family...probably so, but I wanted to express our opinion. DD's 7 and 9, DH, and I all hated it and we LOVE BTMRR, Splash, Space, etc. Go figure!

Disnee Dad Says......................................It may be rather slow with not a lot of spins, but I have to admit, it was very jerky on the turns, I forgot that part! In fact it was those jerky turns that got the car to do the few spins it did.

Hopefully it won't be beef jerky or tear jerky, just jerky!

nOW my daughter loves regular wild mouse coasters..

Why exactly is this a 48 inch coaster? Most wild mouse coasters in this area are either 44 or 46 inches.

I like the sensation of wild mouse coasters, although we are usually two by two in rows.. the seating on this one does look a little more interesting.

I think it's the design of the car that makes the height requirment a little taller. There is a lot of room for sliding around. I'm not sure how to best describe the car's layout. It's like a half moon shape. You're basically sitting four people side by side, except that in the middle there is a divider, so it's really two by two. But it's a very open designed car. I'm really not describing it well, but suffice it to say I can see how a little guy could slip out and that they'd have to have the height requirment tall enough to totally prevent that from happening.

My son and I loved this ride, it just made us laugh! I would discribe the car more like a Tilt-A-Worl than a tea cup. To get the best spin you need to have the weight distributed equally on both sides of the car.:)
