Trying to decide between these 2 restaurants at MGM. I have two DD's, 12 & 15. They are somewhat shy, but not overly - would Prime Time be too much interaction? Thanks for any info?

I recommend Prime Time. I do not like the food or the ambiance at Sci-Fi. If you are at all worried about the girls, let the server know (discreetly) beforehand. But in my past experience, the servers have all been great and not gone overboard. Enjoy!:D

I think either one would be fun. However, I don't care much for the food at Sci-Fi -- it's just so-so. The portions are big, but the quality seems to waver a lot. The atmosphere is fun, but for a family of four keep in mind you'll be sitting in a "car" -- 2 to a seat and facing forward. Makes conversation kinda hard.

Prime Time is loads of fun, and you can always tell your server that the young ones are a little shy. They can tone down the interaction at your table. I think everyone would have a great time there. The food is also very, very good.

I agree with the 2 other posters. The food at Sci-Fi is not great. The food and atmosphere at 50's is great. They go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time. When we were there last April we sat next to a couple from England. When it came time for dessert, the view master was brought over and they didn't know how to use it. It was hysterical. Our kids got the S'mores so they decided to do the same thing. They asked the waiter to explain what it was...they didn't know what Hersey's was...but they ate the whole thing when it showed up.

I would have said Sci Fi but that was until we tried Prime Time last visit. It was wonderful. We did not find the interaction "too much". It was a great time!!

One more vote for PTC over Sci-Fi. PTC was fun and the food was pretty good. Sci-Fi was far too expensive for the food we got. I got a better burger at Cosmic Ray's and the atmosphere at Sci-Fi quickly went from kitschy cute to annoying.
