My DH and I ate at Prime Time last Wednesday and we both give it a thumbs down for food & service. DH ordered clam chowder which he never received. He had meatloaf which was at best luke warm. I love greenbeans and was going to eat his but they were undercooked and cold. I had the pork tenderloin which also was at best luke warm and it was not very good. We waited about 15 minutes for our waitress to take our order and then another 40 minutes for the food to be served. If we would have had time, we would have sent the dinners back but we wanted to see Fantasm. There was no offer for any refills on our sodas but I guess the waitress didn't know we needed refills because she was never around. We finally asked the hostess when she went by if she could track down our waitress for our check.

Sorry to hear that! I loved it there, like many others. I hope you can see your way to giving it another try, because with the right waiter and timing, the food is great!

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience at Prime Time. We never ate there for dinner, but have always had excellent service and food at lunch time.

I seem to remember waiting a looonnnggg time between ordering and getting the food at that restaurant. It wouldn't have been so bad but I had two squirming children making the wait miserable. I hope they turn it around!

We would never return either. Our waitress was surly(and unfortunately it wasn't part of her "act") and also never saw her. The food wasn't memorable but the long wait was. We did Hollywood and Vine and it was certainly an improvement over PT. Threehearts

wow, I hope we have a better experience when we go in April. I haven't been there in ten years and it took a lot of coaxing to get my DH to go. He was a little worried about the antics.
We are going to go for lunch. I guess we will just hope for the best.

This is a shame. :guilty: When a group of us went it was awesome. :cool1: We had the funniest waitress.:jumping1: She was attentive and the food was good. But I think too it depends on the group. I went with my husband on our honeymoon. It was just the two of us and my husband isn't very outgoing although I am. The food was good but the waitress wasn't too engaging. I think the key is making a lot of noise yourself and making fun. Don't give up but just don't accept mediocracy.

Wow. So sorry you had a bad server and meal.

By chance we just ate dinner there tonight with another couple. Happy to report we had good, hot food and great server.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. When we ate there last month, we had such a wonderful experience. Our server was very funny and very attentive. Our food came out quickly, and while I didn't especially care for mine, it was just my personal taste rather than something wrong with the food. And my friend said her meatloaf was delicious. I hope that if you decide to give Prime Time another try you have a much better experience. :D

Same thing happened to us too. Slow service not to mention every one around us had a fiesty waiter and ours was a dud. Our food took forever to get to us and it wasn't that great. Not worth it IMO.

It sounds like some of us got the same waitress. While we found the food to be ok our waitress was never around. We didn't mind that she wasn't into teasing we just wanted drink refills and our check when we were finished.

I don't think I could eat there again after the "Chicken Puke Pie" incident when I got food poisoning and was sick for 3 days after eating there :(

The first time I went, with the family, it was very sloooooow and we got minimal attention from our server. The food was decent, though.

Last month, I met some people from here on the DIS and it was a completely different experience. I chose poorly from the menu, though. As much as I like Chicken Pot Pie, I'll skip it next time. One of my tablemates had some fried chicken that looked fantastic.

It's not our favorite spot, either. Your server makes the experience. If that's a downer, it's kind of a disappointment. We didn't luck out with ours either time. :rolleyes1

Wow, they have the best green beans EVER.... Of course, I hate any vegetables that are cooked too much. Lightly steamed for me, thank you!

Must have been a really off day for your server, as we have never had anything but good service, hot food and a great time! Sorry this happened. Next time when you check in, ask for a real interactive server so you will have a great time, (you might even want to explain what happened this time, so they will be sure to get you an attentive server) and request your beans to be cooked more than usual. They are really good about doing that for you, if you ask. It is always easier to cook something longer if a guest wants it done more than they cook it, than to undercook something already prepared for those who don't.

I don't think we'll be eating there again either. We tried it for the first time our last trip and the experience was not like we expected- waiter was not entertaining nor very attentive at all and the food wasn't so great either. We also had cold green beans!

Unfortunately, your experience is very dependent on the quality of your server. We've had wonderful cousins and brothers and sisters who were a hoot (and we love to play along), but we've also had ones who were very matter-of-fact. We've usually just ordered sandwich type food, foregoing dinners. The fried chicken is good, though. Sometimes I think we don't receive as much attention as families since it's just the two of us - they don't realize how much of a ham I am... We'll be skipping Prime Time this year and trying Mama Melrose's, as well as eating at least twice at the Brown Derby.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I've eaten there a few times and had good meals each time. I hope the rest of your trip was better. :D

DW and I have eaten her most every trip and have always had good service
as well as good and hot food!! Not to mention we always enjoy our "Sister,Aunt,Uncle or Cousin" and all their antics!!!!!
As stated before, sorry you had a bad experience, but think about giving it another try! :D
