I'm mad at myself that I didn't really know the story behind him. That was a great article. He's like my new favorite player now(well next to derek of course), he really helped the Yanks pull thru the other day!!! GO CURTIS!!

I heard him being interviewed on the radio today and he really seems like a great guy. He said he'd like to be a role model because he never had a role model himself. He is 95% deaf but he did hear the roar of the crowd yesterday. A real fairytale day.

Pride is an excellent athlete. Bravos to him. Don't agree with Steinbrenner's comment though about being handicapped individual. He is not handicapped at all by his being a deaf person. Yes he has language differences but obviously he deals with them well. And he sure can play a good game of ball.
