Pricing on the Disney Website vs. calling - any difference?

I was wondering if the prices on the WDW web site are the same for a vacation package as if you call the Disney Vacations #?

Yes they are the same. Call a TA if you want a possible discount. There are other "magical" websites that also offer deals plus orbits.

For our trip in July I booked it online. Then I called the disney number multiple times in the weeks leading up to our trip and had them reprice it. One call I had a unique offer code for free hoppers and a total savings of over $500. Another call we had a price difference in the room of $38, a small savings but still a savings. I recommend doing this, it doesn't hurt to call.

Disney reservation people have always had the same prices as the Disney website. They may be able to find a discount you missed as the general, passholder, visa, and resident discounts come out at specific times throughout the year. For example, Jan discounts are not out yet and it's Aug. Also, Orbitz has always been cheaper than Disney for me lately. Orbitz seems to match the discounts and then some. If you do the Orbitz rewards, the points do expire so it may not be best for you. Packages are a different ball game. Also agents are sometimes able to get "group" rates which are cheaper - and that's the only way I can describe that. Maybe Dreams Unlimited would chime in and get us on a mailing list when these come out.

It doesn't hurt to call. As a PP said, the CM taking your call may be able to find a unique offer/PIN code for you that you either misplaced or did not know about. For my last trip in January the CM I booked with went through multiple options to find me the best deal. It doesn't hurt to call and my suggestion would be to have the website open as you call, but that's mostly because I happen to be a visual person.
