Pricing ? for yard sales

Ok My sister and I are planning on doing a yard sale this weekend and have really only ran into one problem, how do you know what to price your stuff at?

I don't want to price too high and not sell much but I don't want to price too low either since this money is for our Dinsey trip I'd like as much extra as poaaible.

Basic items in sale:

Books paperback and hard cover
Clothing
Toys--not really having to hard of a time here only what to price stuff animals

I'm sure there is other stuff..any advice on determining price would be appreciated.

I usually price my stuff what I would be willing to pay if I saw it at a garage sale.

If a person really wants something and doesn't want to pay what you have it tagged for, they will ask if you will take less for it. Always have a lesser price in mind that you are willing to take.

Mind you, it's been a while since I've had a yard sale and a while since I've been to one.

Well, most paperback books would go somewhere between $.50-$1.
Hardbacks would be more. Not sure tho. Depends on what they are.

Stuffed animals between $1-$5 depending on what they are and the condition. Always price teddy bears just a little higher than the other stuff.

Clothes - idk.

A good idea would be to look on sites like ebay, half.com and amazon's used for stuff.
See if they have what you are selling and get ideas for how much they are going for. But if it's really low on those sites, raise the price just a little.

I have a lot of girls stuff (NB-4T) and boys (NB-6mo). I was marking nice jeans/shorts/onsies $1 each. If they were nore worn/faded .50. The undershirt type onsies .25. I had 2 piece outfits pinned together and marked at $2 each. Only a couple of people asked for a cheaper price. Majority paid what I had marked. one lady bought $31 worth of clothes.

Books-Hardcover $1. Paperback $.50.

Stuffed animals-$.75 large/ $.25 small.

I made $280 yesterday.
