Pricing for Wild Africa Trek

I've always wanted to do the Wild Africa Trek at AK, but the budget never permitted it. Now, a little bit of extra cash might be coming our way, so I'm toying with the idea of doing it this year.

The Disney website says it costs between $189 and $249 per adult. I'm guessing this must depend on the time of year, but I haven't been able to find pricing charts, or anyway to predict when it is more or less expensive (for instance like we have on the Dining forum for the buffets). Is there anyway to get an estimate of what the price would be in early May, without actually calling Disney? From Canada, this is not a long-distance call I want to make lightly :)

I'm willing to call for you once my kids are asleep. What day and time are you looking for? I know when I did May 2015, it was cheaper to do it in the later afternoon when it is hotter out.

Also,if you want me to call let me know if you qualify for any discounts (Disney Visa, DVC, AP)

Afternoon will be less expensive. Early May is probably less expensive too as it’s a less crowded time. Not sure if Canada can get the Disney visa but the discount is great for that. Really helps. I think ours was $171 a person after tax and discount for 12:30 pm in early February

That's very sweet of you! I haven't gone so far as to choose a day and time (we're not uber-planners). If I were to pick a random non-EMH day while we're there, I'd say something like May 15th in the morning. We basically want to get a better guesstimate that 169-249. A lot also depends on how the exchange rate will be doing the next few months!

I’m also in Canada and now I use Google Hangouts (app on my iphone) to call WDW for free.

Thanks, never thought of that. I'm still not used to having a smart phone that does things :)

No, I think it's only available for US residents. I know I checked a few years ago, thinking it would be useful, but no luck. I'd love having a Mickey credit card! :mickeyjum

I'm sorry I was asleep by the time you posted. I will try to get a second to call today!

May 15 "in the morning" was (American$) $201. xx per person with no discounts according to the cast member I spoke with. (I was driving and couldn't write it down so I forgot the cents).
