I have a question. The information that Disney sent to me shows the smallest photography package as 6 hours for $2400.00. Does anyone know if Disney Photography has a four or five hour package a a slightly cheaper rate?

I know I will not need 6 hours as there are only 20 of us.

Hmm, the only other thing that I found is a few 2 hour packages.

There is "Cinderella's Collection" Which includes:
2 hours of photography coverage
and your choice of
24 5x7's-------------$930
or
24 8x10's-----------$1,080
or
40 8x10's-----------$1,430
All these packages come with a white custom album with gold Disney themed artwork on it.

There is also "Ariel's Collection"
2 hours of photography
A white custom album with 40 5x7 prints
$475

Hope that help a little!
You can also forego Disney photography and go with an outside vendor. A lot of outside vendor will give you more pics than Disney and for a better price!

Hm, since those 2 you listed are intimate options Meranda, I'm not sure she would be able to use them. But there are plenty of outside vendors who would be happy to shoot for th amount of time you ask for!

Contact Randy Chapman he is wonderful. Very accommodating and flexible, very reasonable prices, and you get more pictures and better options.

Unless you need to spend money on DPS in order to reach your minimum I would say you could get just as good quality and in lots of cases better by going with an outside vendor.

For example, Randy cost us approx $2000 and that was for 10 hours with a break in between plus albums and extra prints and B&W and included a free Engagement Shoot which we did whilst we were there for our Planning Session.

But hey I know I'm biased towards Randy but there are other good outside vendors too :)

Thank you!!

I was trying to stick with Disney to keep things simple. I do not want to worry about vendors making it on time or little details. It sounds like it is worth looking into Randy though.

I'll put a vote in for Randy too. I had a lot of issues with DPS, and in the end found that it was actually easier to book Randy. And we definitely got a lot more for our money with him as compared to DPS. He's great and will work with you and your budget.

I am also very partial to Randy Chapman, he did a wonderful job for our wedding and our total cost for the day including our entire alblum (60 8x10 prints), parent alblums, engagement session and other prints was $3500. I was able to customize our package and get only what we wanted with Randy. I sat down and calculated what it would run with DPS for the "same" package that we got from Randy and Disney's photography would have cost at least twice as much. In addition, Randy gives you the negatives (which is very nice and highly unusual!) Remember when pricing to look at what prints (if any) come with your package. In general with DPS you are just paying for the photographer's time plus a not so generous credit towards your alblum prints. Think about how large of an alblum you want other additional prints, enlargements, parent alblums etc that you desire and take the time to calculate the cost! Going with DPS is simple, however cost is a very limiting factor. Most of the outside local photographers are very reputable and their work is extremely good. You also have the advantage of talking directly with the person who will be photographing your wedding before hand personally to discuss your wishes....whereas with DPS you get a staff photographer who is assigned to work that particular event. If cost is not an issue, than go with whichever business you feel most comfortable with. I would strongly suggest that you call around and get a feel for what is out there. The disneymooner website may be helpful, if I recall correctly they have a list of the photographers that most Disney brides use outside of DPS and you can visit their websites and call them to get more information.
