Pricing for Newbie Please!!!

Could someone give me an idea about pricing for a 7 day Disney Cruise please!! I know that summer is the expensive time to go but this is the most we've ever paid for a summer vacation. I got a quote for a family of 4 Cat 9 outside cabin for $5335 and this is without airfare. At this price the verandah was just out of our reach. And this is for July of 2006 with early booking!!!. We are going to Mexico this summer with the kids and it will cost us with air $4500.00. If I can get some pricing comparison for anyone that can share I would appreciate it. Thanks

.Yes my trip to mexico is all inclusive at the Iberostar Lindo which is supposed to be one of the nicest all inclusives in the Playa area. This price also includes insurance.

In 2002 we paid 2715 for the Magic 7 night Eastern Cat. 10 Secret Porthole family of 4. That's cruise only but compared to the prices I'm seeing lately, that's childsplay. This was booked one year in advance.

In 2003 we paid 3072 for our All Inclusive Iberostar Tucan vacation in Playa Del Carmen. Family of four including air. Iberostar is unbelievable! This is the nicest resort we've ever stayed at. This was booked 6 months in advance.

Both of these Vacations were at the end of February first of March and I also had insurance. Talk about inflation!

We booked with DCL in last December. I think the original price was about $5300 and we got 10% discount for rebooking onboard.

We're think of switching the reservation to Dreams Unlimited so that we can get further discount. We're holding off that because we're likely to change our cruise date.

We booked a category 10 for 4 from Cruises Only and paid $3400 (but that was months ago that I booked) for the Magic 8-19-06.

We booked cat. 11 for 11/26 Magic. Two adults, two kids, 7 days - $2500 without air and I got my own insurance for about another $130. Hope that helps.

I guess the price is high because it's the busiest time of year. I guess if I wanted to take the kids out of school I can save some money. Thanks for everyone's help.

Check out August if possible, I just looked on Allseas and it is $3700 for 7 days. If it's possible to switch, go for it!
