We have orded a standard room in july for 4 nights/ 5 days. What will it cost to upgrad it to a montana room, or a room with lake view? Anybody knows?
Can you only have a lake view when your staying in a montana room? Is the upgrading price based on two adults or one room>?

Is it worth paying axtra for a montana room with lake view?

We are two adults and I child.

Disney Direct it's based on the room, I paid £690 for 3 nights/4 days Lake view montana, and a regular room would have cost me £636, so worth the extra I thought!

I can't help you with the pricing because our upgrade was free, but I can tell you it was lovely being able to see across Lake Disney in the Morning... Really got you in a Disney mood!!

I wouldn't say its an essential, but its a nice touch! :goodvibes

You do need a Montana room if you want a lake view. As the Montana rooms are in the main building. I wouldn't say its essential to upgrade. I personally would rather save the money & have a bit more to spend out there.

Has anyone been staying in a standard room at SL, is it far from the main hotel? Does anyone have pictures outside and inside a standard room. Can seem to find any pictures of outside where the standard room are.....

You can see them on Google Maps.

If you go to google than go to maps at the top.

Type in Chessy, France and it will take you to DLRP. then find the SL, the momtana rooms are all in the big main building by the lake, and the standard our in the square buildings behind.

here you go - sorry its so crappy looking, did it fast for you!!

Hi Njut

I'll face a similar decision to you although haven't booked anything yet. I think it will just depend how much time we'd spend in the room. We plan on being in the parks/disney village most of the time so the room would be just for sleeping in.

I'm tempted though to stay in Montana out of laziness. The closest to the parks I can get with my sore feet the better!

I might just book Montana and if we get a free lake upgrade that'll be a bonus, if not then not to worry.

The first time we went, we stayed in a standard room (didn't know any better then) - if I remember correctly, I think it was the middle block on the left?! Or perhaps the end one? Either way, with 2 young kids (well, DS was in the buggy and DD was 4 then), the extra few mins walk at the end of a long day was a very long walk for all of us.

This time, we stayed in a Montana room (lucky enough to get lake view) and it did make a big difference for us - it was so nice to know that we only had to go down the lift to have brekkie and once we left Disney Village at the end of the day, all we had to do was just head straight to the hotel, walk through the doors and take the lift back up to the room and we were there.

I booked a Montana room and if i agree if i get a lake view it be a bonus.

We stayed in a standard room (think it was called yellowstone lodge) last year and it was great.ok you dont get the view but it was a lot quieter and close to the pool.

But isn`t it alot easier to stay in the main building when we got a child with us? I`m not sure of the distance between the main building and the lodges, but looking at the picture it seem like a long walk after a long day.....

I must say I think it;s really worth the extra (although I've only ever stayed lakeview Montana) it's so amazing to be able to see what's going on as soon as you arrive, and when you get up in the morning, that I wouldn't like to have risked not having lake view.

And it is a great bonus being close to breakfast and the entrance/exit.

I just upgraded our room to a montana room. That was 58 euro extra. A lake view room was 148 euro, so I just orded a regular montana room. Hopefully we won`t be spending that much time in our room as the park is open from 8 - 11 at night.

Yeah, that is quite an increase I suppose. I'd ask at reception jsut in case though!! ;)

I`d rather use that money on dining and other things during our stay instead of having a lake view, concidering I have my daughter with me and I`d guess she will be spending alot of my money when we`re there :P But at least we`re at the main hotel now.
