We will be sailing in June and I am estimating the budget for paid drinks. Can someone let me know approximately the price point for the drink of the day in case we wanted to purchase it or say a beer. Also, approximately what is the price range for specialty offer like lattes or espresso.
We are not heavy drinkers but may want a cocktail on some days and specialty coffee a few days.
Any help will be appreciated.

The prices are reasonable when I have paid in Cove cafe its circa $5>$8 for coffees etc,

If you get the cocktails of the day they are the cheapest at around $6 prices then go up.

Auto tip is 15%

Can you refresh my memory? Are the drinks of the day 2 for 1?

No normally a lower price.
Thanks! For some reason, I was thinking they were 2 for 1, but now that I think about it you're right. It seems to me, that on our Dream cruise a few years ago, they did run 2 for 1 specials in the nightclub area at night.

I think sometimes at Castaway they might have 2 for 1. But I have the drink of the day every day and its just $1 cheaper.

As I recall the DOD would go 2 for 1 later in the day (maybe 3-ish) when the bar waiters start pushing them. I remember the drinks came on deck in vats pre mixed, so when needed, a 2 for sale!!! I'd guess depends on how well they sold, and how much left to sell that day...

They do also offer the 2 for 1 in the clubs sometimes as well as on CC. The ones in the club were not premixed but made one at a time by the bartender. Delicious.

Thank you, I always have a drink of the day, or two different ones ,hadn't had the option of 2 for 1.

Your very welcome. I always have them too because they are a great value and delicious IMO. I have only encountered the 2 for 1 once in any of the clubs and that was on the Magic last spring. It was Bahama Mama day so I definitely took advantage. :drinking1

Bahama Mama is great....

See the Coffee Toledo up the top now thats a drink..

At the end of Sail Away I've had them offer the Drink of the Day 2-for-1 - at least the first Disney cruise I was on, but my sister and I already had ours. LOL.

This last cruise (Fantasy 2/14/15) when I was wandering back to the ship from Serenity Bay, I stopped at one of the bars for a Malibu and Diet, and the guy poured two cups. When I said "I only ordered one" he said "2-for-1 for my princess!" Being solo I was like, "Um, ok..." (I'm accustomed to NYC bars where they'll give you a token or receipt you present for the second drink). So I wandered more slowly, topping off one cup from the other as I'd take sips. And made a mental note to bring my supersize tumbler next time to combine them into one cup so I don't look like I have a drinking problem. LOL.

Do they limit in any way the areas where you can drink? For example, if after dinner DH and I grabbed a drink from somewhere, are we free to walk around the ship with the drink, or do we have to stay in a certain area?

Thanks
