We're considering flying down a family friend to do hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids and my DM. We think it may be cheaper then paying someone down there to do all our hair and makeup. I looked on a few sites of people i'd heard about on these boards and couldn't find prices for anyone. Can someone give me a ballpark figure of what they paid to get their hair and makeup done? I was thinking it would be about $80 for both, is that too conservative of a price...?

I am paying $65 for hair and $50 for makeup with Beaute Speciale. Seems reasonable to me.

This is who I'm using and was quoted the same though I won't be using them for makeup. I'm getting hair done and an eyeslash application ($10) as well as hair for 3 others....

Oh...and I contacted Valenica Salon on wheels and was quoted about the same...

Oh wow, I guess we aren't in kansas anymore...:lmao: I think I paid about $70 to get my hair and makeup done here for my brothers wedding last year. That price wouldn't be so bad if it was just me getting my hair and makeup done, but for 4 other girls that's a tad pricey... Thanks for sharing!

Lisa's Magical Weddings charges $80 for hair and $65 for makeup. That total cost, plus the problems I had with her last week :rolleyes1 is why I'll be trying to go with Ana from Beaute Speciale for my wedding... If I can't get Ana I have no idea what I'll be doing.

Definitely agree with the not in Kansas thing anymore! I could almost buy every item of make-up I use for that price! Not trying to sound cheap, but that stuff better not budge when (not if) I cry!

Oh! Here's another question for you ladies, Ana uses some cool makeup I hear y'all talk about it all the time - can't remember the name - is there a "Casper" shade of foundation? I'm pretty pale, and don't want to look like Umpa Lumpa on my face and Casper everywhere else! :rotfl: Thanks! :thumbsup2

Ana uses MAC cosmetics and they have every shade of foundation known to woman! Here is a link to their site http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/door/finder.tmpl Try doing a store search and you can find which stores in your area carry MAC and then you can go and check out what you think of it before you book Ana :thumbsup2

Tonya Montoya did my wifes and some guests hair and makeup, and it was fantastic. She charged between $45 and $65 for hair, depending on how much work was involved (some of the more senior ladies didn't need as much styling), and $45 for makeup. I believe she had her own makeup line that she had developed, halfway between a cream and powder that gave a very natural look.

She lives in Florida and travelled to our Disney hotel room to do the hair and makeup. She was very professional and did an excellent job. Everyone was very pleased and looked great!

Her email address is tmontoya2@cfl.rr.com (assuming its still the same as last year). Hope this helps.

I used Anna from makeovermajic.com. I can't remember how much I paid, but the 2007 price says it's $125 for hair and makeup. She also runs specials from time to time. At the bottom of her pricing page, she says you get discounts for booking 3, 5, or 8 people (a percentage off, usually). She was very nice and I had enjoyed both my hair and makeup.

Hope that helps!

Has anyone used Disney Hired people before? What experiences did you have with that, also what is the usual price for Hair/Makeup through disney?

Also, could you post the links to the websites of people you have used for Hair/Makeup, would also like to see photos of their work, please post photos of yourself and your guests with the work they did with your hair/makeup..

Thanks

Well, I am bringing my own hair dresser, lol. She works out of her home and she's the only person I trust with my hair. Luckily she lives right near my parents, but yeah. I don't have time to go to Orlando all the time and I want my hair perfect!! Plus my sister owns a tanning salon and is trained in airbrush make up... Woohoo!!! :) So that's free at least... I'm saving tons by bringing my own hair dresser... but I have 8 bridesmaids :D

Actually, Disney no longer has their own cosmetology department. They do have a referral list, though (similar to getting your officiant).
