Hi everyone. DH and I are staying at GF for two nights and then we're going over to the Riviera. I was thinking of having just a handful of things delivered from Amazon Fresh or Walmart, (water and a couple of staples) to the resort but my husband says for the few nights we are there, and the fact that we are transferring, it's more convenient to just buy what we need in the resort general stores. Mostly, it's about the bottled water. We have plenty of dining reservations so food items aren't really a worry.

Therefore, I'm wondering if anyone knows what the prices are for bottled water in the general stores? TIA,
Dee

Yes, more convenient to get at the resort. Pricing may favor delivered goods especially if larger quantities are needed or variety of selection is important.

One good thing about getting just a couple of things at resort is no tipping delivery service, so I think in that case it averages out. When I do split stays, I try not to have too much to move. I tipped to have it delivered, I tipped Bell service to move it and I tip again to bring it too our room. It quickly becomes easier just to buy a few things at resort and no waiting for anyone to show up.

However, in Dec we will be 1 night (using car service, so getting about 4-6 things at publix curbside pickup), 7 nights BLT (walmart delivery) and 5 night BWV (walmart again)

We haven’t used the resort’s grocery order form in about 20 years. They’ve always been too pricey. However your situation seems to warrant it. Bottled water for two days would make a lot of sense! I don’t know if they still do this but when you ordered from the resort ahead of time, they used to deliver it right to your room before you arrived! They would even refrigerate items that required it!

Do all the buildings have a convenience store? We are staying at Big Pine Key building at GF. Will we need to go over to the main building for water? We are also there for only a couple of days. Can you take bottles of water/pop into the parks?

When we ordered for this summer garden grocer were more expensive than just buying from DVC. We bought from garden grocer anyway as they had all we needed

Main building is where the store is. And yes, you can take water/pop into the parks.

I never knew the resorts offered this, we've always used Garden Grocer ( or staples just for water). The prices look okay, but having to be in the room for delivery on our first night could be tricky. Do they give you a tight window? When we've ordered from GG in the past its been nice because bell services has kept things cold for us until whenevr we got there.

Looks like 8 pack of 12 oz water is almost $5.
I know these are still on the order forms but do the stores actually still carry these? I know they haven't had them out since maybe pre-covid (perhaps after but it has been at least a year).

I’ve read that they’re often kept in the back, like jugs of distilled water are.

I think that if you order groceries via the DVC form, they’re delivered to Bell Services now, so you can call when you’re ready for them (or have them brought up with your luggage). I know they used to deliver to your villa before arrival, but I think they stopped that service (since room assignments sometimes change).

If you have time before you leave for your trip, check out Amazon for refillable water bottles with filters. They work great and filter out the nasty taste of Disney tap water. They don’t work for filling a coffee maker though. We also purchased water bottle holders with long straps. We needed a larger size due to the size of the bottle…I think ours are Brita. We brought a case of water with us last trip and brought most of it home.
We have been surprised that the price of milk was kind of low for a Disney store. How are you getting to Riviera? If you’re taking a car service, they can stop at the speedway by Boardwalk Villas. They have water, beer, wine, snacks, breakfast sandwiches.
Enjoy your Riviera stay. It’s a great resort.

We had groceries delivered to us at Riviera a few weeks ago, and on check-out, Disney charged us $6 for "Disney's Riviera Resort Front Desk Grocery Order Handling Fee". If I had known that, we would have tried to meet the grocery delivery guy in the lobby. I don't remember a grocery deliver charge from previous DVC trips.

The fee was added several months ago.
