Priceline

Have any of you every used priceline and got the price you wanted. I really want to go on a trip but can't afford the high ticket price. I was thinking of putting in what I can afford (150) and hoping to get a good time and such.
What has your experiance been with Priceline? I'd like to know the good and the bad please!

You really need to read up on the accepted bids etc. Go to www.betterbidding.com and you can see what others have gotten and for what price. You wont need to go as high as your limit I am pretty sure and can still get a nice resort level hotel (no Disney hotels participate though)

We did this about 1 1/2 years ago and got the Hilton in the Downtown Disney area for around $70 for one night. I think we might could have gotten it for less though. I picked the Disney area, and we were pleased to get the hotel because it was right across the street from the Marketplace.

I use Priceline and Hotwire all of the time....The Beach...all over the Southeast....out West (two week trip)...about everywhere I go. Great deals... You just have to do your homework and learn a lot, or let someone do it for you. I have actually gotten some really good deals and booked vacations for other people. I split some of the savings with them (they get 80% of the savings). For instance: a resort at Hilton Head SC for $72 per night in the Summer. I have stayed there several times for $75 per night.

Oops I just read it again and I think you were talking about airfare? I dont think Priceline or Hotwire seem to have very good deals on airfare anymore
