has anyone had any experience using priceline.com for Disney resorts...is it possible, a good or bad idea, etc. I've used it 2 times for other hotels and been pleased but don't know if it is possible with on property locations.

also....we plan on a trip Dec , our departure flight leaves at 8 pm so we could be in the parks one last day but what could we do with our suitcases?

Hi - welcome to the DIS :)

Your best bet is to check out www.biddingfortravel.com - there's much information there on this kind of stuff, from what I understand....

Good luck!

The only "on property" resorts that can be won on PL are the Swan and Dolphin, which are Sheraton entities.

When we stay at the Disney Resorts, checkout is at 11am, however you are allowed to store your luggage at Guest Services (without a fee) and continue using the parks. When leaving the parks, you just head back to your hotel (which I am assuming is where you'll be picked up to be taken back to the airport) and retrieve your luggage. Storing your luggage with Guest Services can also be done if you get to the hotel before check-in time, which is often our case. We simply store our luggage with Guest Services then as well.

I hope you are lucky enough to get the Swan or Dolphin using priceline. Many people have claimed success using Priceline's service. Just heed the advice that has been given and BE SURE TO READ www.biddingfortravel.com!! Even if you aren't lucky enough to snag Swan or Dolphin and you get a Resort on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, I'm sure they offer bag checks as well.

Thanks for all the info. I went to "bidding'...very good info I wish i would have had 2 days ago when i paid for a business trip to Calgary(live and learn)

maybe should ask this someplace else but have always stayed on propery and noticed some of the disney village hotels don't offer the same transportation..any insight on that would be appreciated. hate to take the chance of having to actually drive someplace( haha)

None of the Disney owned hotels participate with PL. When you go to PL and look at their map of the Disney zone you'll see some of the Disney hotels listed. That's DECEPTIVE, they don't particiapate with PL.

Swan/Dolphin sometimes come up but don't count on it.

thanks, that's kind of what I figured and for us part of the fun is using the tranportation,,builds more excitiment than a long wait in traffic!

Jann,
Swan and Dolphin do see to come up more on Hotwire. YOu can check www.betterbidding.com as he has ways to be able to tell if you are being offered one of those.
