Could someone recomend a good thread or offer some suggestions. I have never used Priceline and no nothing about the process.

I would like to bid for 2 night at the DD Hilton.

Thank you.:D

Go to www.biddingfortravel.com .

I found it very helpful before I made my first Priceline bids a week and a half ago.

BTW, you will be bidding for a level of hotel in an area, not one specific hotel.

Thank you for the tip. However, what does the above mean?

On the Orlando Hotel board there were several folks who purchased through Priceline and were able to stay at DD Hilton. If I think I have the meaning correct, we will bid on a level of the Hilton but will not be guareented to be in that hotel.

Thanks again.

We aslo used bidingfortravel.com to research our bid on priceline. We received the Hilton in DD for on our first bid at $60 for a resort hotel in DW.

If you start at $60 and bid for a resort hotel in WDW you probably will receive either the Hilton or Wyndham in DD. Another thing you can do is to do the same bid on Hotwire for the dates that your staying and see what price and amenites come up. This should give you a better idea of availibility and your chances of receiving the hotel you want. This is not garunteed but it helped us to make our decision when we bid on Priceline.

JAP,

We just got back. We bid through Priceline for a resort, and got the Hilton at DD for $60 on our first bid.

We really liked the rooms. DH is all about Priceline now. They aren't themed or anything, but they are big and very nice. Ours was the standard two beds, big desk, entertainment center. There was an ironing board, an iron, and a safe in a closet with plenty of space for all our clothes. I especially liked that there was a vanity area with a second sink that was separate from the bathroom. Free pot of coffee and USA Today in the morning. We could see Epcot out of our window as well as DD across the street.

You can take a bus from the hotel to each of the parks but we drove. Parking is included in our passes and when DH is ready to be at the park he doesn't want to wait for a bus.
