Well it has finally happened to me. After many many years (10+) of using Priceline & getting rooms with 2 beds in it, I have gotten a room with only 1 bed. The hotel I won yesterday (Extended Stay America-Orlando) has just emailed me back (I emailed them about the bedding situation) and they informed me that it is for 1 queen bed. If I want a double bed room, I must pay an additional $10 per night. I also found out that they do not have a pool.. now what are the odd's of getting a room in Orlando that has no pool.. I can however use the pool at their sister hotel which is behind them (Extended Stay Deluxe).

The two things don't matter to me this trip since it will be just me and my older DD going. We are only going to be there 3 nights & there for the Disney Parks, not to relax by a pool. However, I did want to post this to let other Priceline users know what can happen. Like I said, this is the first time in over 10 years that this has happened to me.

Did you know this hotel in the star level and zone you were bidding in?
Yes I did, it was 2* I didn't want to spend much since it was an unplanned spur of the moment trip for only 3 nights before my DD starts her classes at the University. I have my other trips planned out, booked & paid for over the summer. My DD cannot come with us for our first trip in July due to her classes. She didn't want to wait till the end of July.. I wanted to do on the cheap. I have done this before, and have always gotten 2 beds to a room. The star & zone have nothing to do with getting only one bed. That is really the policy of priceline no matter what star or zone you bid in. It is clearly stated on their site.

The room probably also has a sofa bed. All the Extended Stays I've been in have.

We had this happen to us before at a Holiday Inn in Cincinnati. I am glad that you can still make it work, but it is a warning to others that it CAN happen!

Exactly! I have always been one who has said "what are the chances of getting a room with only one bed in Orlando".. I have stated this on here a few times before. I wanted to let all know that it can and "did" happen to me.. yes, me the doubting Thomas..:lmao: I am lucky though it will still work for me. I will just share the bed with my DD... no biggie. Had my other DD been coming, then it would have been a problem. Three of us would not fit in a queen bed.

As swilshire has posted, it may have a sofa that opens to a bed. If it does, I think I will still share the bed just to make life easier in the morning since there isn't any house keeping... one less bed to make is OK by me :thumbsup2
