priceline question

HI all, we are visiting disneyland jan 1-6 from australia and have been avidly reading the boards. my question relates to priceline, many of you have used it, in the rules it says the rooms requested are based on 2 adults and non-smoking, how does it work if we have 2 kids as well? we are concerned we might get a great priceline rate but then will be slugged for additional charges for the kids. i would appreciate any input, also what properties/bids have you recieved lately?

The two adult thing may have to do with the number of beds. In the times we have used either Priceline or Hotwire, we have always had the choice of two beds, but we've always been an near empty hotels too.

It is my understanding that when you book through priceline the hotel guarentees only a room for two people. Most hotels ( and all the hotels I have stayed at) always asign a standars room with two beds. I have ready a few reports though of people assigned to a room with one bed. If I had more than two people (or have two people who can not, will not and dare not share a bed) I would not use priceline...just in case you get one of those rooms.

We've always called the hotel after the priceline deal and requested two beds, or a king with sleeper, but we always get the two bed option. With two adults they generally will assume each adult needs their own bed. I was unsure how the hotels would treat us as priceline users, but we've always had great treatment. We stayed in Eugene OR over Thanksgiving, since I knew the hotel I knew I wanted to be in a room away from the freeway - they didn't question it at all when my wife checked us in - we had a great room and an amazing price. All of our stays at DL using priceline have been great, the one time we didn't use it and stayed at a cheaper hotel that was a "Good Neighbor" was disappointing - we'll stick with priceline.
