Priceline - "Negotiations on hold"

Has anyone had the message "negotiations on hold" before when bidding for a car? I've gotten this message 2 days in a row now. It never says that my bid isn't accepted, but I get an email later that says so.

Cars are disappearing for the time of my trip (next Tuesday!), so I'm starting to think that this is the first year I won't win my bid. I was really hoping to get another sweet deal on a minivan, as I'd done in previous years.

I have received it at least once, but long time ago...I assumed at the time, and this is just a wag, that there was some software glitch somewhere. Rental rates/inventory are fluid and changing all the time, there is no way the system is set up to "consider" a bid -- it is either accepted quickly or not, so, again, they are probably just having some issues. It is a busy time of year for travel, could be too much traffic to handle.
