I have used Priceline with great success when going to WDW. This March we will be coming to Disneyland, but I have no idea what hotels you would get with Priceline. Can someone give me some direction/help with bidding in the Disneyland area?? Thank you!

Hi Itchette -

My family and I just returned from a holiday Disneyland trip and we used Priceline to get our air and hotel. If you have bid Priceline before, you probably know about Sheryl's BiddingForTravel.com website. I have posted several of my winning bids there and have linked them below for your reference:

3* Hyatt Alicante, $35 + $20 Bonus

3* Doubletree, $40+$5 bonus

3* Anaheim Marriott, $33 + $5 bonus

These all provided free shuttles to the park, with the Marriott being closest (maybe even walking distance). The hotels we won charged for overnight parking: Marriott -$12, Hyatt -$8, and Doubletree $6. The Doubletree was the furthest (another 5 minutes) but really close to the Block at Orange shopping mall.

Start your bidding with the Anaheim 3*zone and free rebid using the 2*'s. If nothing comes up within your price range, try a new bid adding the Orange 3* and your free rebids. (Orange is a little further away, but many have free shuttles to the park.)

Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!

Steve

I have done Priceline 3 star and ended up with Marriott as well - our room was great and well worth the $30+ bucks.

We've used priceline often since we go last minute in some cases. Last week case in point, we made up our mind Tuesday and left the following day. I tried to bid for a 3* at $50/night but go rejected. Previously we've stayed at the Marriott and West Coast Anaheim. I had to drop to 21/2* @ $40/night and landed the Hawthorne Suites - not bad really, 2 rooms but it had twin beds (gag). Shuttle service was poor, not sure if others are taking lunch & dinner breaks, but it annoyed us. If you can stick with 3*.

I went ahead a bid $42 for a 3* and got the West Coast Anaheim. I'm going March 27-31st. Thanks for all the advice! I love these boards!

We just got rooms through priceline at West Coast Anaheim for $41/ night. Has anyone stayed there and how was it? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be okay.
