Tell me everything...the good, the bad and the details:thumbsup2.

I am looking to book a one-way rental, picking up at our local airport on a Saturday and then driving across the state and dropping it off the next morning at our departure airport. The Priceline-recommended bid is $19 and I was going to try $15 since I believe the "rack rate" from Budget was $20 just a few weeks ago.

For our return leg, I'd like to try the same thing. We'd be picking up the car at our arrival airport, driving home and then dropping it off at our local airport the next day.

I would pay for the Priceline bid with my debit card and I plan to use my AMEX card for the "hold" fee when I pick up the car.

If anyone has rented through Priceline, how was it? I don't want to encounter any surprises. Tell me everything:flower3:. One other (minor) concern I have is that we will be dropping off our first car at the airport before the rental counter opens. I don't think that renting through Priceline would have any negative bearing on the return, but I want to make sure.
