Has anyone done this? It seems Priceline is mentioned a lot more for rental cars and hotels. Any thoughts on using it for flights?

Thank you!

I used to use Priceline all the time for flights. Read all the details and small print, and go to betterbidding.com for tutorials in how to bid, getting free rebids, etc. You need to be flexible with times, connections, equipment, etc., but when you can get airfare for 25%-50% cheaper than published fares, it's not so bad! One thing to note: Priceline usually puts you on the latest flight OUT of your home airport (your departure leg) and the earliest flight back home (the return leg). It just always seems to work out this way. It's been years since I have used Priceline, but I was always satisfied with the process, flights, and prices! Just make sure you do your research, including determining the "retail" cost of the flights you are interested in, as well as reading everything you can find about bidding, before you start a bid. Once you understand the process, it's not as scary as it seems!

Thank you! I want the earliest flight back home so that would be perfect (if it worked out that way). I also wanted an early flight to my destination, but I could live with it if it wasn't if it saved me a good bit of money.
