Priceline for cars?

All the time!
Even though we use Happy Limo to get to the port, we spend a lot of weekends bumming around in Orlando and we usually get a rental car for that. I find the best rate I can get with rate codes first and then bid below that on Priceline. You will almost always get an onsite company at MCO (we typically wind up with Alamo or Avis), but I did get Hertz once. They are offsite but not far away, and the shuttle bus is always right there waiting.

You can't use it as a one way rental though, since PL doesn't allow that. I've used PL for cars. I think it is a lot harder to get a great deal on a car than a great deal on a hotel though. The price difference for hotels can be a hundred dollars or more. With cars, in my experience, the difference is very small. The situation is probably different in different cities though. Orlando is probably a good place to get a good deal.

I just used hotwire for a car rental. I forgot to rent my car for are upcoming trip 2/14-2/18 - part of presidents week. Well when I tried the cheapest I could get for a full size was $433.00 mostly because I wasnt' a full week, and that was from Avis, I tried every agency in the area, just 2 days ago I tried hotwire and got a premium for 266.00 still alot, but not what I was paying! That's what I get for waiting to book!!
