hotwire 3 star, 4.0/5 "very good" regularly $622 for $142???? bonnett creek. 1.3 from AK, 2.8 from Epcot. help?

my assumption is an all-star, but idk how they would ever be able to charge $622 for a room there

They seem to be using entirely carrrazzzy numbers for the "regular" price - especially for Value resorts.
The only 3* resorts with s 4.0 rating in BC I believe are Music and Movies.

Try the map trick: zoom in to the All-Star Area, select Draw, draw a circle around one of those resorts and see if the deal shows up. (Sometimes you have to make sure your circle is beg enough to encompass the resort, but also not reach into a nearby resort.)

I think the Priceline deals are about to get bigger... We are hearing more and more of cancelled conferences. Expect to see last minute Coronado, Yacht Club, etc. as Disney struggles to fill the room blocks now left empty by cancelled conference goers.
I think you're right.
I posted a thread about Coronavirus and its effect on reservations and lot of people are saying they're seeing weird availability, etc for coming months, new rooms and such.

It's definitely an All Star. Movies or Music. The regular price will be for a suite. A previous poster said Music was 1.3km from AK.

Too bad I will no longer be local to take advantage
😭

I totally forgot about conferences! Those are getting cancelled like crazy, which is going to open up a lot for us. I swear I'd been checking March for about 1-2 months and seeing nothing.....then yesterday Spirit dropped a penny fare to Orlando & I booked AOA on HotWire.

I'm not so sure of that. If PL/HW didn't want people to be able to figure out the hotel, they wouldn't have so many identifying clues. I think what they want is plausible deniability. They want the deals hidden just enough that the hotel owner isn't going to get mad at them for undercutting the regular prices too much. They want the deals hidden just enough that many guests will pay more for the sure thing of a revealed booking.

But PL/HW wants enough people to be confident enough in what they're getting to take the risk on a non-refundable booking that they don't know for SURE in advance. How many of us would pay for a Disney moderate opaque booking if there were a high probability we'd end up with TownPlace Suites? Not many.

It's a delicate balance.
those are good points. Also, HW/PL truly didn't want people to know the hotel ..... they would've found a way to shut down better bidding and bidding for travel years ago. I can remember lurking over there to figure out which hotel descriptions were the Swan/Dolphin long before WDW resorts ever showed up on those sites.

Whoa, from where!? That's amazing!

I just checked my dates (Mar 29 - Apr 1) ... and using the draw tool, I think CSR is down to 109.

Makes me wonder if I keep watching my dates, and if I see a better deal, contact HW again about adding my kids & let them cancel the one I have. LOLOLOL
That's an amazing price! If I knew I could cancel for sure, I'd keep checking too LOLOL! :)

I would love to get that AoA rate listed above for this trip. DD loves that resort and this is our first girls' trip. I'm going to be stalking!

Can anyone help me out with this one? March 27-29

it would have to be a pretty spectacular deal. I love POFQ and got a great deal on it. ;)

but I have wondered what HW would do if I said ok ... cancel my room. LOL

DME update:
my docs came today. they have all 4 names (not just me & DH) on the confirmation sheet even though I was unsuccessful in getting them added to my hotel reservation.

general travel update: I booked our airfare into MCO on 2/24. I checked flight prices today and our exact same flight is more than half the price than it was when I booked. as in, I booked at $71RT (Frontier airlines, no judgment ... LOL) and today it's $31RT. Insane.

Excellent!!! So glad that worked out for you :)

LOL @ no judgment. II'm laughing because I impulsively booked Frontier on 2/26 for a long weekend in May when I was able to get 2 of us for $264 total round trip and figured why not since DH and younger DD will be on a camping trip. (haven't gotten a rate like this in years to MCO I'm usually happy if I can get under $200 RT per person LOL)

Now it's even cheaper...I might change to another airline for the flight down if I can do it before Frontier's 60 days is up and take the credit if I can find a good rate on another airline (Frontier only flies limited from here).

Our current flight arrives 12:15 a.m. and I'm a person who won't be able to sleep in even if I tried LOL, even at home, never mind WDW! It would be nice to get down there during the day!

Atlanta! The flight prices went way down - they were like $200 previously (which is too much for Spirit) but then they dropped to $52RT, which is how you know it's a penny fare. Frontier will go lower but they hadn't yet, so I just took Spirit. Bought them at the airport for $58 total round trip for 2 people.
