I am thinking of a spur of the moment trip to Chicago for DD's b-day. we would take the train and stay one night downtown. I would love to use priceline, but have never used it before. I would like a nice hotel on or near michigan ave, close to watertower etc.
Anyone have any advise? What price to put in for say 3 star?
THanks.

I'll add another :jumping3:

3 stars tho, by your description, should be very nice no matter the price. Try this site: biddingfortravel.com (Thanks go to NancyIL, who also thanks glo!) :sunny:

Have a great time!!

I used Priceline last year for my roadtrip to the midwest.. spent 3 days in dwtn C'go. Thanks to KimRaye by way of NancyIL I did ok dwntn.

We ended up paying $70 a night for the Tremont Hotel, which was tiny.. but nice and unique... There were problems with getting W/C accessible rooms and the ONE elevator is teeeeeny tiny. It was considered a 3 star at the time. It is clean, the rooms are small but it is very convienent. 1 block from Michigan Ave.

We had a BLAST in Chicago.

I got the Sheraton Chicago Hotel Tower!! 75 bucks! Whooo hooo.
Retail price is 159 so think we got a deal. ONly one block off Michigan Ave so we are where we want to be.

Dan, need eats ideas :)
Sarah's gonna have a great birthday!!
